My Fiancé and I decided it would be a good idea to learn a very a choreographed dance for our first dance at our wedding. We purchased a 10 lesson package through QCB not including the first lesson complimentary (it is complimentary assuming you purchase a lesson package). Upon arriving for our second visit we were informed that our instructor from the first visit had left QCB. While we were disappointed, we ended up finding a fabulous instructor in Emily. We built a plan to ready ourselves for the Big Day. The plan was to utilize the first lessons to develop a routine and follow up closer to the wedding to drill it down into muscle memory for the wedding. I recently called QCB to schedule these remaining (3) lessons with Emily, only to find out that she now too has left QCB. The phone was passed on to Dana (owner) who tried to explain to me that she could provide another instructor for the (3) remaining lessons, saying the new instructor could learn the dance before our visit. I explained that I was not interested in changing instructors (I take golf and banjo lessons and am of the opinion that a change in instructor is a huge step backwards). I was barely able to explain my feelings before Dana went on the offensive about refund policy (which I fully understand we are not entitled to based on the lesson plan contract, despite the circumstances, even just for the remaining 3 as I asked), she appeared to be well practiced in this conversation and, in my opinion, quickly became rude and condescending about my concerns. We are very disappointed that the spirit of our involvement with the studio was not honored and both me and my fiancé now will be thinking of this during our first dance as a married couple. I recommend that anybody looking to QCB for reasons similar to ours to protect yourself and either purchase a smaller lesson plan or do shop around and find a different studio.

Terrible experience here! Owner is a money-grubbing mean-spirited person who is only out to make a buck and doesn't care if her customers receive the type of dance they request or not. I will put this all over social media - didn't even sign the contract and she would not give us a refund after her instructors clearly did not teach us the type of dance we requested. We offered to pay for the first lesson, even though it was not what we had specifically requested and yet they said they could deliver. I would be very careful if you choose to walk in this place - she should be ashamed!

My child has been enrolled at this preschool for over 2 years now. In the past 2 years I have seen so many changes that have made this preschool the best preschool in the area. (In my opinion) It is not just a daycare where your child is babysat. At Gateway, the teachers care and are invested in the success of their students. I urge you to go visit won't regret it.

I have been very pleased with the care I have received at Gateway Academy. My boys are thriving in this environment. The teachers are awesome! The director and assistant director are both really good! I never worry about my boys during the day because I know they are in good hands.

I went to apply for the only available two bedroom section 8 apartment units on 06/09/15. Two and three was the only available section 8 apartment units left. The white guy working in the office only wanted to know my income and the amount of the voucher before filling out the application. I told him that I am only one occupant with one income.... social security and I'm a section 8 participant. He immediately told me that I couldn't afford the section 8 apartments there with just one income below 2,300 a month even with the section 8 voucher.....if that made sense. I asked him about the apartments that they was in the process of building. I was told by him that those new apartments didn't belong to their leasing management... right. He acted like he didn't want to answer any of the questions I asked and walked away...... how much ruder could that had been. Even though, they're affiliated with Charlotte Housing Authority.... which that seems hard to believe too. The whole ordeal was just too crazy to be real dealing with this leasing company.
