A-1 Janitorial & Vacuum Shop
I've never written a review but after reading this one from gemsco79, I felt compelled to comment on the services I have received over the years I have been bring my Dyson vacuum to them. They were the closest Vacuum repair service listed by Dyson to do warranty work, unless I wanted to mail the vacuum to a Dyson Service Center. During my 5 yr warranty, they serviced it twice, and since then I have found them at their new location for routine maintenance of my vacuum and my daughter's. I have been so pleased with their services that I drive from Greenville, SC and have recommended them to friends and family who live closer and have Dyson's still under warranty. In my experience with employees, they have been courteous, never rude but I will admit they aren't overly friendly. BOTTOM LINE: They've always done an excellent job servicing our vacuums.

A-1 Janitorial & Vacuum Shop
I'd rather not give this shop any stars. But I can't submit my review without one. Had a carpet cleaner repaired at A-1. Cost nearly $100.00. Used it once since I got it back. Isn't working again. Same problem. Took it back was told I would have to pay for it again. When asked why I was told they only guarantee their work for 30 days. Seems they would be more confident in their work than that. Employees are rude. They give you the impression you are bothering them. Won't go back. Plan to tell everyone I know what an awful place it is.
Tips & Advices
The most common vacuum cleaner problem is lack of suction. Other frequent problems include a burning smell (usually a problem with the brush roll or the belt connecting it to the motor), excessive noise, unusual vibrations when starting, and the always-popular brush roll not rolling. Most of these are easy fixes and can be as simple as switching out the bag.
It’s time to replace the vacuum bag is when the vacuum’s performance is dropping. A full bag reduces a vacuum's ability to remove more dirt and debris--because there is nowhere to store it anymore. You might also notice less suction and more debris coming out of the vacuum.
The biggest benefit of bagless vacuums is not buying replacement bags (you just saved money!)But they tend to have more filters (HEPA filters) that need to be periodically removed and cleaned, so there’s more maintenance.
The most frequent causes of loss of suction in a vacuum cleaner is filter blockage and a clogged hose. These are usually easy fixes you can do yourself. If the motor has failed, however, that is a much larger problem that will require a technician or a new vacuum.
If a customer cannot find or does not have the owner's manual for his or her vacuum cleaner, it can usually be found online on the manufacturer's website.
