Principle Moving
We've used Principle Moving four times, now and because of those experiences, and being treated so well, I will continue to use them for everything!Initially, I used them to move us from one house to another house. Russ came out to look over our things and gave us a reasonable flat rate. The price was much better than other estimates I'd gotten so I decided to use them. The guys were very friendly and ready to work. Unfortunately, I hadn't correctly measured the doorways upstairs at the new house. After they had moved all of the furniture up there, we discovered that they couldn't get it through the doors so they had to move everything back downstairs again! They didn't complain at all. It was completely my fault, I had measured incorrectly and hadn't thought it through, but they were so patient with me, I never felt uncomfortable. We've used them on several occasions since, and they are always good-matured and pleasant to be around. One time we were using them, and it was taking a lot longer than we had thought it would, and it was 8 pm on a Friday, and these are young guys, who probably have plans after work, but they were so great and helped us to reshuffle our furniture. And we had a company put in a chair lift for my in-laws, only it was too high and therefore too dangerous for them to use. Well, the guys helped us fix it! I couldn't believe it, I'm always going to use them! They are always very courteous, friendly and responsible. I would highly, highly recommend them to anybody!

I recently used MVP and I must say 5 stars for this company! I moved March 12th, 2015 and leading up to the move, I contacted a few moving companies and went with what was the best price for me because let's face it, moving is expensive. Adam, the salesperson was outstanding to work with. Always emailing me and following up with me, always giving me the best price and when I needed boxes and I forgot the reason they didn't have boxes to give me (neither here or there), they delivered bins to my apt the next day. Adam was so on top of things, you couldn't have dreamed for a better experience or company to use for moving. As for the movers, Terrance was, let's say the "head mover" we did the paperwork together, walked me through the things he was doing and he was just as AWESOME. MVP held my belongings over night because I couldn't move in to my new home till the next day and at first like anyone would be, you're nervous. Everything you own is in that truck...Terrance and Adam calmed my nerves, made sure it was all going to be safe and it SURE WAS. Nothing broken, every single item accounted for and unloading in to the new house couldn't have gone any better! Terrence had a crew of two guys, total 3, each of them super nice and respectful. If you chose MVP, you're making the best decision in the most stressful time of your Moving! Thank you!

I used this moving company without looking at reviews. Paid more than I was quoted because took longer due to lack of proper equipment to move items. Did not have much furniture (5) pieces and 20 boxes. Moving from a senior complex with elevator to another senior elevator complex. Boxes was man handled and when indicated where items to be placed, boxes stacked on breakable items. Broke my stereo tower and speakers in double bags but when when arrived only in one bag. Mattress and box springs in covers and was not covered when on truck. Mattress and box springs arrived filthy and had to remove to wash. Never had a mover that did not give receipt after moved completed. Had to pray that my credit card will not be in jeopardy. Called and talked to Adam because one of movers brought a shopping cart that seniors used that was donated to the building because did not have enough equipment for move and advised him that had to be returned. Whether that was done I don't know. Adam made light of everything I said. I will never use them again. Not professional and never will give my credit card information without a copy of transaction at the scene. I was afraid if didn't pay I would be in trouble. If had paid in cash, would not have have any copy of transaction. Finally got a copy of receipt by email but very scary to be put in that type if situation.

Principle Moving
In the beginning I spoke with Anastasia on the phone. She gave me the estimate price and all the initial information with the timings. The workers( can’t really remember their names) arrived early on the day of the move (after calling me first). The guys covered every detail of the move with us before getting started. They proceeded to pack and move every piece of furniture in my old home without nicking or scratching a wall. They were fast, yet highly conscientious of our belongings. The same held true when they arrived at our new house. They unloaded and placed all our contents in our new house without a nick or scratch to any of our newly painted walls. Each and every piece of furniture was also perfect without a scratch or dents anywhere (the only movers I have ever used that were able to make it without damage). In addition, they went the extra mile to get our refrigerator into our new house as well (which was no easy feat I may add)! In the end, the guys finished the move in the exact time estimated and with the same price quoted. I would use Principle again and I will definitely recommend them to friends. If you want a smooth and worry free move definitely check Principle Moving out.

Needed a quick and affordable way to move all our stuff from a 3d story apartment with narrow, steep spiral stairs into our larger 2nd story apartment a block away.Emailed MVP movers a couple weeks in advance and booked them. They provided an estimate and allowed us to tailor the booking to meet our needs. We ended up having to reschedule on them - not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES and they were very accommodating. They were prompt, friendly and professional during the scheduling (both on the phone and via email) as well as when the movers arrived in person. Two movers showed up exactly on time, as promised (even after numerous reschedules) and moved fast to get to work! We thought since they were affordable and since we paid by the hour they might be kind of slack. Boy, were we wrong! They showed a lot of hustle, worked together well and had our whole apartment packed up and moved into the new space in about 2 hours!! A++, best moving experience I've had, and this is my 11th move in 10 years. Keep it up.

Unfortunately, I don't have our movers' names but the two boys that moved my daughter in were fantastic! They called ahead to confirm everything, showed up on time, moved everything quickly and professionally. My daughter's room was on the 4th floor and she has a huge shelf that wouldn't fit on the elevator but they moved it up without a complaint. After getting the shelf upstairs and my daughter's furniture arranged time they came back down for a load. By that time, there was a line for the elevator so they carried that load all the rest of the loads that followed up the stairs all the way to the fourth floor . Then my daughter decided her room was not arranged the way she wanted so they happily rearranged her furniture for her. It was a terribly hot day and they had already moved a couple of other people before my daughter but they remained professional and pleasant. I will definitely use their service again and would recommend them to friends. It's rare today to get such top notch service.

We hired this company the other day to move us from Concord to Fort Mill. They were easy to get a hold of and they showed up on time. They had a nice professional looking truck. They gave us an estimate through their website and their prices were reasonable. We lived on a third floor condo and we had difficult pieces, including two reclining sofas, mechanized queen-sized bed, and a 60" TV that we were worried about. The two guys they sent handled the job with ease. They had special straps for every piece, hand trucks, and they also dressed our TV with shrink wrap and cardboard to prevent any shipping damages. They also used shrink wrap on our reclining sofas to prevent them from reclining while being moved. Those guys have common sense and experience to boot. They were pleasant and easy to get along with. When they arrived at the new house, they backed up their truck in our driveway to save us on time. We highly recommend this company.

If you want to use these guys - and you should - BOOK in ADVANCE. I tried to use MVP in the past due to their awesome reviews but, being the procrastinator that I am, I'd call 2-3 days before my move and they were all booked up. This time, I booked about 2 weeks in advance. I have used 3 different moving companies in NC and MVP is far and away the best. I wish I could remember the names of the 3 movers so I could give them a personal shout-out - they were courteous, professional, and got the job done in less than 2 hours! I didn't have to lift a finger apart from opening the doors to my old and new apartments. They even broke down my metal bed frame and put it back together in the new apartment (thank goodness, because I had no idea how to do this). It was money well spent.Thank you, MVP, for making my move easy!

These guys saved me from a nightmare moving experience. I booked a company before these guys, who proceeded to quote me Triple what Adam did. On the night before I needed to move I was calling people left and right to find quotes, and Adam was the first to respond within 10 minutes! Not to mention he had a crew prepared for me the following day. Unbelievable service. On the days of my move, the movers were there promptly and worked so efficiently that both times the prices were less then anticipated.Leon, Nico, Terrance, and Ismael are incredible, and Adam runs the company the right way with reasonable prices; accommodating schedules, and just the right attitude. A+ for these guys. I can't wait to use them again and to recommend them to family and friends .

Tips & Advices
Yes, it’s best to empty drawers, wardrobes and chests before a move. Items always get knocked around a bit, and doors can fly open even if they’ve been taped. In fact, more often than not, movers will want to remove the drawers from a dresser--or disassemble the wardrobe to be more space-efficient.
Yes, it is customary to tip movers, but the amount varies widely. For full-service moves, a 5 percent tip is suggested, although, for extra service, some people go up to 10 percent . For small local movers, you can give each mover $10 for a few-hour job, or $20-$40 for jobs that take longer.
A bill of lading is the legal contract for the move. It provides a detailed receipt, in addition to a contract between the client and the mover. It authorizes the mover to transport the goods from one specific point to another, and it outlines the exact scope of services, with cost breakdown for those services. It also provides an itemized list of the inventory, and carrier liability protection for each declared item. Finally, it specifies the payment arrangement. Make sure to go over your itemized list extremely carefully before finalizing the paperwork--and get a copy of the full document. A good mover will go over everything on the bill of lading with the customer.
There are several items that moving companies will not move – those items will be listed on a document as “non-allowables.” These items typically fall in three categories: perishables, sentimental/personal items, and hazardous material. Perishables are food and plants. Sentimental/personal value is up to the client to decide, but usually includes jewelry, medical and dental records, personal paperwork, valuables and collectibles. Hazardous material is the tricky category, since it includes a lot of everyday items found in the garage, garden or kitchen. For example, cleaning liquids and pesticides both are considered non-allowable by many companies. Some go so far as to disallow nail polish and batteries.
A binding estimate means that the moving company cannot charge more than the stated amount, though they can lower the final bill if the scope of the job was smaller than expected. A non-binding moving estimate is more likely to wind up costing more than expected, since the movers can increase their rates for unforeseen variables like stairs, “long carry” and materials.
