Charlotte Emergency Dental Clinic
Let me start by saying I AM TERRIFIED OF THE DENTIST! However, After loosing an old filling many years ago and a divorce at the same time I just did not have "extra" funds to have medical attention. After time the tooth continued to disintegrate. I was in no pain but knew it made me uncomfortable. My now boyfriend encouraged me to have it taken care of. I had heard about EDC from a friend who had a good experience at this office, so I went.. My first visit was $80ish for the X-ray and the consult. They determined that it would be difficult to do but they were ready that moment to extract it. I had the work that day so I came back 3 weeks later to see Dr. Yu. Let me just tell you this man did an excellent job! He warned me there may be complications due to the amount of decay and that I may have to see an oral surgeon. He did it quickly with skill and precision. I felt wonderful and relieved once it was over! The price is comparable to a regular dentist so it's not cheap but he was good!!!!! The ONLY quam I have is that at the end of your visit your kinda out of it a bit and they throw a lot of info at you. It was a tidge confusing. I wish they had covered that at the beginning of the service along with detailed written medication instructions so you can look it over once your more with it. I liked the staff as well. To me it was a win/win situation!

Jackson Orthodontics
From the beginning this practice has been amazing. The consultation was wonderful and informative. Dr. Jackson made sure that I was comfortable with the information we were going over. The entire staff has always been friendly. Dr. Jackson and techs are wonderful and conversational during adjustments. They even remember past conversations- what a way to make someone feel like more than a patient! Even when there seemed to be staff changes everyone that joined this family has been wonderful. Life happens and they totally understand. I have been late on a few occasions and they worked me back in. I don't make it a point to be late, but it was wonderful to have that understanding from a specialty office. I knew I would have to wait, but they still were so accommodating. I even had my daughter evaluated by Dr. Jackson. I can't forget to mention the extras- Jackson bucks that can be cashed in for treats of a wide sort, the Kuerig is amazing, the fun night and events they have, and last but not least the game system they have. I know that I will bring my children to this practice if and when they need braces! I am so happy for this practice! Every chance I get I tell people where I had my braces placed and how fabulous my experience has been.

Jackson Orthodontics
Dr. Jackson is a great doctor, always smiling, kind, thoughtful and generous, in his practice and in our community. He is a mentor to a group of boys from our area and even thou he has no school age children, he also volunteers his time to our local school. Dr. Jackson has many appealing incentives for children and teens to help them do a great job maintaining their teeth and braces. Dr. Jackson does a great job educating the patients and parents about everything going on with the treatment, that way there are no surprises and everyone feels more comfortable. My daughter was very worry and concern about living the next few months with braces and/or feeling pain, but Dr. Jackson reassure her and explain everything in such a caring way that made her feel at ease. She even thinks braces are cool now!! The staff is always very courteous and professional. The office is the kind of place my children don't want to leave, with a mini cinema, video games, hot cocoa and coffee, even as a parent you will wish they would keep the kids in the back a little longer. They have a state of the art check in system and they make it very easy to stay connected online. We are very thankful he chose to set his practice so close to our home!

Moore, Katy, DMD DMD
Money in hand speaks volumes if Katy Moore is to treat you. Should you not have dental insurance or have some, be sure to make payment arrangements with Vickie! The staff’s great; however, Dr. Moore takes good care of her patients when it’s a definite they can pay upfront or have backup funding. My teeth are rotting out as I write this and I'm less than happy with her on a daily basis. I’m recuperating from dental surgery done at CMC – MAIN Dentistry while I was in hospital for other reasons. I'm angry because she could have saved teeth that are now long gone. An example, I have several teeth that had cavities, said something about it to her assistant, Denise whose answer was, ‘Yes, we know.’ It was not until I was in severe pain and asked that they be treated did they do anything. God blessed me with two older brothers who pay my dental bills or I’d have no teeth at all. Be sure you can text because Dr. Moore does not answer phone calls after hours in cases of emergencies.

Jackson Orthodontics
Dr. Jackson and staff are not only an important part of the Steele Creek community, but make receiving orthodontic treatment actually fun. I became aware of Dr. Jackson's practice though his involvement in my children's schools (before I even started seeking treatment for my pre-teen daughter). Witnessing the friendliness and professionalism of both him and his staff first-hand after seeking treatment for my daughter made me decide to take the plunge and also receive adult braces, myself! Being in this journey together with my daughter has been a very special experience, and I can't think of a practice I'd rather be working with, or know would treat us as well as Jackson Orthodontics. I look forward to continuing to work with them as my daughter and I get closer and closer to our perfect smiles--we love being part of the Jackson Orthodontics family.

Alexander Rossitch, DDS
Dr. Rosstich is a top notch health provider. He has provided me with the best dental care I have ever received. He's very thorough in his exam and takes the time to explain to you his recommendations and proceedures. He also gave me the prettiest smile one could ever want. He did 6 veneers on my upper teeth and they are beautifully shaped. He's an artist and loves what he does. His staff goes above and beyond what would be considered their normal duties to make sure you are comfortable and well taken care of. There have been several times I've neeed to see him on an emergency type basis and the front desk has done everything possible to get me in ASAP.

Brooks, Kelly, MD Kathryn J Savitsky Dental
Dr Savitsky and her staff could not be more professional, caring and most importantly, great at their jobs! The few times I have been there for all types of work, it has been a pleasant experience. She has your best interest at heart and always provides you an assessment that is the best for your health and will only do service that is necessary. It is obvious she is passionate about teeth! She even helped my 87 year old mother who had difficulty finding a dentist she could trust.I rarely endorse people unless I feel very strongly about their service and without a doubt, 100% recommend Dr Savitsky for all your dental work.

Sharma Oral Surgery Priveer D. Sharma DMD
My experience was not bad until I got home and realized they must've butchered me when removing those wisdom teeth because pain I experienced for the following week did not respond to hydrocodone, advil, Tylenol, or tramadol. I believe if the procedure had been done more carefully, so as not to strain my jaw muscles and ligaments, the outcome would've been different and recovery time as short as everyone else I asked. If you're wondering, I didn't have dry socket, I am not a smoker, I am not overweight. I am in excellent health and shape, and my recovery time should not have been as long as it was.

Jackson Orthodontics
From the very first time we walked into Dr. Jackson's office to the last, it has been a lovely and positive experience for all the members of our family. We were always greeted with a smile, Dr. Jackson always took time to talk with us and show us the progression of Erin's teeth. The office is clean, organized, and we hardly ever had to wait long at all. I was also impressed that when I would call for a question, Dr. Jackson would personally call me right back. We couldn't be happier with the experience and Erin's beautiful teeth. Our son is next! Thank you Dr. Jackson and staff! You are wonderful!

I had not been to a dentist in about a year and half because of a bad experience with another dentist. I had been living with tooth pain for about 9 months so I knew it was a problem. I was in severe pain and he saw me about ten minutes later. He examined me without hurting me and told me that it was going to require the tooth be pulled. They contacted an surgeon and got me in that day. After the swelling was down from the pulled tooth I was pain free for the first time in months. He when above and beyond to make me feel better as quick as possible. He is now my regular dentist
Tips & Advices
  • If a tooth decays and the nerves or pulp (soft internal tissue which helps teeth develop) become inflamed or infected
  • If a tooth is cracked or broken and nerves are exposed
This generally depends on any specific issues you wish to address with your teeth. There are toothpastes designed to whiten teeth, fight cavities, decrease sensitivity, prevent bad breath, resist gingivitis, and those specific to children (with lower fluoride content). There are also toothpastes that offer “complete” protection by combining aspects of many of the above toothpastes.
It’s recommended to get a professional cleaning at least two times per year.
  • Desensitizing toothpaste numbs the nerves in the teeth that can cause discomfort.
  • Mouth guard can protect against grinding teeth during sleep.
  • Fluoride treatment can be applied by dentists to sensitive areas to numb teeth and strengthen enamel.
  • Root canal can treat problems in a tooth’s core.
  • Surgical gum graft where a piece of gum tissue is removed from a section of the mouth to cover an exposed root.
Not everyone needs to have their wisdom teeth removed, but there are certain signs that can help you and your doctor determine if yours should be:
  • Wisdom teeth are pushing other teeth around, causing pain and misalignment
  • Cysts form around newly emerged wisdom teeth, causing jaw damage
  • Gums get inflamed and swollen, causing cavities and pain
  • Doctor determine from x-rays that wisdom teeth will cause problems in the near future
