If you're looking for a GREAT surgeon, Dr. Ford is the expert you need to see. I can't thank him enough for how he's helped me. He looked out for my health and when the hospital tried to charge me more after the surgery he took care of that also. He went above and beyond all the way around. Always there just a phone call away. I highly recommend Dr. Ford, I truly believe he is the BEST! I had my hernia surgery back in August of 2016. Everything went smooth and I haven't had any problems since. It's so nice not to look down and see a big lump sticking out on my belly that was impossible to hide for over 30 years. I wound up losing my belly button it was totally destroyed. I waited so long it was beyond repair. I can honestly say I don't miss it at all. I tell everyone I'm an alien. My wife has always told me that I am out of this world. I couldn't be happier with the results so do yourself a favor and see Dr. Ford. -Thanks, Ray Williams
Dr. Spicer is a wonderful, wonderful person. She has excellent surgical skills and a delicate touch. She is very detailed oriented and a perfectionist.I had eye surgery and she took great care of me. She came to see me that night in the hospital andmade sure that I had everything I needed. I was having a painful night and she changed the painmedications and stayed with me until my pain was under control. That impressed my family as well that she cared enough to stay in my room until I was comfortable.I will not forget her special care that night. Dr Spicer has such a kind heart and gently way with people.I recommend her to all of my friends family.
I have usedMedCare on two occasions. Once for myself and the other for my young daughter. What a great service they provide! The staff and doctors are all professional, courteous & efficient. Both visits we were in and out between 30-45 minutes. They accepted my insurance but also have a program for people without insurance. I gave the paperwork to my neighbor who is having a hard time finding medical care without insurance and they said this was the best deal they have found.
I am so happy with today's experience at this facility. It is so hard to find a kind, thoughtful, and caring doctor these days. Genevieve Jones, M.D. fit that exact discription. I had a pretty embarasing problem and she went above and beyond with making sure I felt comfortable. She really took care of me. She said, "God put me here to help you". They are so lucky to have her. So, a big thanks to her for being so amazing. You don't find someone like her often. She deserves a raise.
Dr. Lominchar has been my PCP since 2006. I will not venture out to look for another doctor. She is the best I've ever had! Kind, honestly and seriously interested in your thoughts about your condition. She takes her time when looking at all the pieces of your medical puzzle and knows exactly what to do. My family loves her and her super talented staff. We will always be loyal to Dr. Lominchar and her staff.
I would highly recommend Dr. Hamilton. She is the most compassionate, caring, and knowledgeable doctor I've ever seen. She will listen and help you with any issues that you have. All of the employees at Charleston Ob/Gyn are friendly and make you feel comfortable. I've never had an unreasonable wait time or felt rushed. Thank you Dr. Hamilton for being the BEST!
My experience here is top flight. Both Drs Slesinger and Buthorne put me at ease. Most amazing to me is the absence of pain both during and after my surgeries. I appreciated the private waiting room provided between surgery, skin testing and stitching. They have a nice treatment environment with views of the low country which is comforting to me.
Just went to this place over the holidays. I don't have insurance but knew I needed a catscan of my chest. I priced it everywhere and these guys were the least expensive I could find. I got the results back in 30 minutes with a copy of the report and a CD to take to my other doctor. Everybody was fast and friendly.
My daughter is a C of C student. She went to this clinic today and was in and out with only one patient ahead of her. It's awful when you are so far away and your child gets sick. It's good to know this clinic is nearby and available for weekend appointments.
Today was my first time at MEDcare and I was very happy. The facility is very clean and welcoming and there was no one in the waiting room. I was seen within 5 minutes! Everyone was kind. I especially appreciated the compassion of the Doctor!!

- Dressing: Wrapping the wound in a protective film, gauze, gel, or foam.
- Compression stockings: Tight-fitted fabric sheaths that encourage blood flow.
- Artificial skin: A covering that is applied to the wound for several days as it heals.
- Ultrasound: The use of sound waves to promote healing.
- Growth factor therapy: The use of materials naturally produced by the body to encourage quick cell growth.
- Negative pressure therapy: Creating a vacuum around a wound to encourage faster blood flow to the area.
