Halio, Elliott T
Mr. Elliott T. Halio worked in downtown Charleston, South Carolina for many years. He was a graduate of Duke University School of Law and early on, became a sitting judge on the bench. He opened The Halio Law Firm many years ago and became an extremely effective attorney. His family met my family through membership in The Jaycees, a local organization that introduced business minded individuals to each other. This is taking things back to the 1950's period. He became not only well respected but also extremely beneficial to those he served. He and his wife had two children, Sally and Andrew. As time drew near, Mr. Andrew S. Halio also applied and was accepted into The Duke University School of Law. After getting his law degree, he became licensed to practice law in our great State. He joined Mr. Elliott T. Halio, his father, and the two changed the name of the Halio Law Firm to Halio and Halio, Attorneys at Law. They operated under that business title until Mr. Elliott T. Halio's death in the mid 2000's. His wife passed away shortly after with complications she had dealt with for many years. Today, Mr. Andrew S. Halio runs The Halio Law Firm which specializes in many types of law. Andrew has become well respected and a driving force in his field and would welcome anyone's business pertaining to law. I can vouch for both because I have had the pleasure of using their expertise myself, which is unparalleled in the Charleston area. Flatly put, if you've got a case that is to be tried in this or our surrounding areas, and you want to win, Mr. Andrew S. Halio should be your choice. It may be a little more expensive, but the end resort of winning your case will make up for that. Andrew has eyes and ears all over the city and county areas of Charleston, and by now has added other areas to his business. An ethical approach in any business matter is of extreme importance as well as strict confidentiality. You will find both right there. Sincerely, Charles Garrett and family.

Tri-County Surgical Associates
If you're looking for a GREAT surgeon, Dr. Ford is the expert you need to see. I can't thank him enough for how he's helped me. He looked out for my health and when the hospital tried to charge me more after the surgery he took care of that also. He went above and beyond all the way around. Always there just a phone call away. I highly recommend Dr. Ford, I truly believe he is the BEST! I had my hernia surgery back in August of 2016. Everything went smooth and I haven't had any problems since. It's so nice not to look down and see a big lump sticking out on my belly that was impossible to hide for over 30 years. I wound up losing my belly button it was totally destroyed. I waited so long it was beyond repair. I can honestly say I don't miss it at all. I tell everyone I'm an alien. My wife has always told me that I am out of this world. I couldn't be happier with the results so do yourself a favor and see Dr. Ford. -Thanks, Ray Williams

Dr. Lominchar has been my PCP since 2006. I will not venture out to look for another doctor. She is the best I've ever had! Kind, honestly and seriously interested in your thoughts about your condition. She takes her time when looking at all the pieces of your medical puzzle and knows exactly what to do. My family loves her and her super talented staff. We will always be loyal to Dr. Lominchar and her staff.

Todd E Schlesinger MD Faad
My experience here is top flight. Both Drs Slesinger and Buthorne put me at ease. Most amazing to me is the absence of pain both during and after my surgeries. I appreciated the private waiting room provided between surgery, skin testing and stitching. They have a nice treatment environment with views of the low country which is comforting to me.

Tips & Advices
This depends on the facility. Patients should call to find out if they'll need a referral from their physician prior to making an appointment.
Aside from hyperbaric oxygen treatment, most wound care centers offer:
  • Debridement: The removal of dead skin and tissue surrounding the wound. This can be done surgically, using a whirlpool bath, syringes, enzymes that dissolve the tissue, or wet dressings that dry on the wound and absorb the dead tissue.
  • Dressing: Wrapping the wound in a protective film, gauze, gel, or foam.
  • Compression stockings: Tight-fitted fabric sheaths that encourage blood flow.
  • Artificial skin: A covering that is applied to the wound for several days as it heals.
  • Ultrasound: The use of sound waves to promote healing.
  • Growth factor therapy: The use of materials naturally produced by the body to encourage quick cell growth.
  • Negative pressure therapy: Creating a vacuum around a wound to encourage faster blood flow to the area.
Depending on where the treatment is administered, hyperbaric oxygen treatment  can cost $100- $1,000. After insurance is applied, patients may have a copay of $10 -$50 or a coinsurance fee of 10 percent to 50 percent.
Most wounds should heal within two to six weeks. An individual should seek chronic wound treatment if a wound has not begun to heal after two weeks or is not completely healed after six.
Most health insurance plans cover wound care. Patients should check with the clinic and their health insurance provider before seeking treatment to be sure.
