It was pure luck that we found Michael Flood when going through some serious problems. My boyfriend, at the time, was the angriest person I have ever met. He had so many walls up and I didn't think anyone could break through or help him. He hated everyone but learned a lot from Michael, spoke highly of him and made some huge changes for the better. We are not together any longer, but the positive impact Michael made has lasted for years!!! I also heard him speak on working with angry clients and I was impressed beyond words!

A sweat lodge ceremony is a common practice to most Native American cultures throughout North and South America. Fire-heated stones are placed in a pit within the sweat lodge enclosure. Water is ceremonially poured over the heated stones, creating steam and rising temperatures. Participants in the ceremony are exposed to increasing temperatures and additional moisture, causing them to sweat rigorously. The ceremony is not only comprised of physical purification and cleansing, but also provides an intrinsic cleansing. The sweat lodge acts as a refuge for mental healing and guidance. Traditionally, material possessions such as watches, jewelry, cell phones, or any other object that promotes disparity in value are not permitted. Also, all senses of race, color, and religion are set aside during the ceremony. The sweat lodge ceremony consists of four rounds or pours, where water is poured over the hot rocks to create more heat and steam. Throughout each of the rounds, subjects such as recognition, knowledge, growth, and healing are discussed. Although we do not participate in sweat ceremonies at the LodgeQuest Outpatient Clinic, we do embark on a Quest towards healing and recovery with those in need, through the principles of the sweat Lodge ceremony. We do believe that everyone is sometimes in need of both psychological and emotional healing. We do believe that everyone, regardless of race, creed, nationality, gender, religion, sexual orientation, and disability, should be given outlets to heal themselves. We do believe that temporarily depriving ourselves of worldly possessions can help us understand the core of our suffering. We do believe that everyone deserves recognition for their accomplishments and that we should all identify things we are grateful for. We do believe that by gaining knowledge and insight anything is possible. Finally, we believe that through suffering can come healing and through healing can come growth.

First I'll say, I believe reviews often say more about the reviewer than the business. As a current patient of Dr. Miller, I can honestly say I'm seeing results after only 2 weeks!! His CBT program does work & I highly recommend it to anyone who is struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD or any other types of stress related issues. I chose to seek out REAL therapy (with a psychologist) instead of "drinking the kool-aid" by taking pharmaceutical drugs, as practically all psychatrist suggest. Dr. Miller and his wife (who you'll speak with if you call) are both warm, friendly, helpful, and understanding individuals. I strongly encourage anyone seeking help to contact Dr. Miller!

This is by far the most disrespectful, disappointing and unprofessional therapy place I have ever gone. First when seeking services, one is not given the chance to select the therapist best for them-they choose you. I also felt and it turned out I was right on-100% that the therapists in which I worked were constantly looking for an opportunity to tell me to "get lost." When I voiced my concerns to the therapists, I was totally ignored. However when my therapist had concerns with something I did he/she didn't like, they didn't think twice about being ignorant and nasty to me. When my concerns fell on deaf ears with the therapists, I took my concerns to the next person in charge in the correct, respectful way-the head of the practice. This person ignored me too! I would never treat anyone the way I was treated, but then I have always possessed compassion and respect for others. My ex-therapists don't know the meaning of the word!

Whether you are feeling confused, alone, depressed, anxious, dealing with grief issues, relationship problems, or difficulty with children, counseling can offer insight and strategies to help overcome many problems. I use different modalities to suit individual needs. If you need help as soon as possible, I usually have a daytime appointment available. Holistic Approach-The body, mind, and spirit are all connected. If one of these is out of balance, it not only causes mental problems but can also manifest into physical problems such as pain or disease. I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and my Master's Degree in Counseling at Shippensburg University. I completed post graduate work in family therapy from The Child Guidance Center of The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. I also trained under Belleruth Naparstek for Guided Imagery. I worked at agencies doing counseling as well as case management. Also, I worked with seniors suffering with dementia providing them as well as their families support. I worked at an alternative school for adjudicated adolescents as well as with the Probation Department. I did Drug and Alcohol evaluations at the county. I also worked at a Partial Hospitalization Unit working with the chronicallly mentally ill and did group therapy with Psychiatrists, which gave me vast experience in the mental health field. I have over 15 years of counseling experience. I have worked with individuals, couples, families, adults adolescences, and children. Some of the issues I have worked with are as follows: Anxiety, Co-Dependency, Chronic Pain, Couples Counseling, Depression, Divorce, Grief & Loss, Sexual Abuse, Self-Esteem, Parenting and Trama-PTSD.

This woman should be working at Wall Mart stocking shelves!!! She is by far the worst Doctor I have ever met. She was as rude as possible, very very condescending, constantly talking over me. During my consultation if I had any questions she would say she had a lot of patients and that she could not answer my questions. What!!!! are you kidding me!!!! I will never go back to that hospital it is a dangerous place to get help. Anyone in need of mental health care beware!!!!! Do not go to Chambersburg Hospital they are horriabl http://www.vitals.com/doctors/Dr_Syyeda_F_Syed/reviews#ixzz3UQkrUcwt
