This is the most thorough doctor I have ever been to in my life. Never has a doctor/office treated me with so much respect care as I received in this office. Never has a doctor taken the time to sit down and explain my medical issues or labs to me so extensively. And I don't know any doctor who will listen and treat more than one illness at a time, the doctor ALWAYS suggest you make another appointment for your other illness. But Dr. Wheeler will address whatever is troubling you at the time of your present visit instead of making you come back for another office visit to address each illness or issues separately. Which proves she is not trying to make you pay for multiple office visits, but that she cares about your overall health.

Dr. Rosie Augustin-Wheeler provides excellent care to my children. Care that is out of this world. She takes her time to examine my children. She talks to me. She treat me and my children like we matter. She takes her time to explain and educate me on what's going on with my children. I've never receive care like this before. Usually doctors are in and out, and if you have another question, then you need to schedule another appointment. Dr. Wheeler provides care that comes from the heavens. This Woman really cares about people. I feel that every human being deserves care like the one that Dr. Wheeler provides.

Dr. Wheeler is amazing. I don't understand the negative reviews. Apparently they don't know how to communicate their needs to the Dr. My husband and I go to her as our primary and she is right up the street from where we live. She gets us in the same day we call for an appointment and takes time with her patients. She has been patient and kind with us the whole way through. Definitely would give her 100 stars if I could. I LOVE YOU ROSIE

Dr. Wheeler is by far the most wonderful Dr. I have ever encountered! My entire family adores her. We are always made to feel as if we are her top priority, and treated like family. Her personal attention to detail goes above and beyond the call of duty. I have never felt like I was truly being listened to before, or had someone in my corner when it comes to my health. Now, I do!

Tips & Advices
This depends on the facility. Patients should call to find out if they'll need a referral from their physician prior to making an appointment.
Aside from hyperbaric oxygen treatment, most wound care centers offer:
  • Debridement: The removal of dead skin and tissue surrounding the wound. This can be done surgically, using a whirlpool bath, syringes, enzymes that dissolve the tissue, or wet dressings that dry on the wound and absorb the dead tissue.
  • Dressing: Wrapping the wound in a protective film, gauze, gel, or foam.
  • Compression stockings: Tight-fitted fabric sheaths that encourage blood flow.
  • Artificial skin: A covering that is applied to the wound for several days as it heals.
  • Ultrasound: The use of sound waves to promote healing.
  • Growth factor therapy: The use of materials naturally produced by the body to encourage quick cell growth.
  • Negative pressure therapy: Creating a vacuum around a wound to encourage faster blood flow to the area.
Depending on where the treatment is administered, hyperbaric oxygen treatment  can cost $100- $1,000. After insurance is applied, patients may have a copay of $10 -$50 or a coinsurance fee of 10 percent to 50 percent.
Most wounds should heal within two to six weeks. An individual should seek chronic wound treatment if a wound has not begun to heal after two weeks or is not completely healed after six.
Most health insurance plans cover wound care. Patients should check with the clinic and their health insurance provider before seeking treatment to be sure.
