Mechanics Plus
Bill Allen and his crew are nothing short of incredible! What first drew me to the Mechanics Plus family was the amazing work they do in our community to help the homeless in our area. They don't just throw money at the problem, they are out on the streets; meeting, greeting and helping!Bill treats all of his customers as if they were his family. He has a business to run, which he does well; but he doesn't exploit his services. He's honest & fair. He will tell you what you need, but more importantly, he'll tell you what you don't. Recently, I woke up and started my car, only to have it scream louder than a cat walking on hot coals. I was petrified; the screaming sounded expensive. I'm a single mom without a big support system. Bill took my car in right away to look at it. Within 10 minutes, he was sitting down with me explaining with patience, gentleness and detail exactly what was going on. He had my car fixed in no time and I left with my wallet in tact and a smile on my face.

Best.Shop.Ever. I trust Bill and his staff of expert mechanics. They truly care about the work they do and give 110% customer satisfaction. Bill goes above and beyond-I mean really-how often is your mechanic going to give you his cell phone number and answer any time you call. I have his number and have used it several times. I believe in good reviews which is why I am writing one-without even being asked! My car is like my baby and Mechanics Plus is a great babysitter! Don't look any further-trust me-Bill is honest, hardworking and goes the extra mile!

Dexter's Auto
This is the same as S&J Auto Repair, just a new name. Scott is the head mechanic here and is honest, professional and courteous. He switched out the engine on my Honda that had 350,000 miles on it with a lower mileage used engine that he located for me and my car is running great ! I highly recommend him. He is busy so just make sure to call and make an appointment.

This website will not allow you to respond to the reviews and a couple of them could not be verified on the records of Mechanics Plus. Please keep in mind that competitors in the area can post things to cast doubt without being traced back to the source. Other referral sites take precautions to prevent this sort of behavior.

Scott is the head mechanic here now and is honest, professional and courteous. He has worked on my honda a lot, even switched out my old motor that had 350,000 miles on it and found me another lower mileage used motor and put it in and my car has been running great ! He charges less than the dealer and is honest.

I am so happy to find this place. Great knowledge of Toyotas. Fast, knowledgeable, courteous service. (Good pricing, but not at the expense of quality repair)
Tips & Advices
You should change your oil filter whenever you change your oil, that is, approximately every 7,500 miles.
A oil filter is a device that helps remove contaminants from motor oil as it passes through the engine. A pump pushed the oil through the filter where it is strained and goes back to the engine.
High-mileage oil contains special conditioners that are said to help prevent gaskets from drying out and thus preventing leaks. This can be beneficial to engines with many miles on them.
Synthetic oil costs more than conventional oil, but the price is offset by the need for less frequent oil changes due to the oil’s durability.
Tools needed to change your own oil include jack stands or ramps, a wrench, an oil filter wrench, an oil drip pan, funnel, replacement oil filter, and replacement oil.
