Plains Tire-Casper East
We ruined a tire and had two hours before dinner at my brother's. I thought that would be no problem to have a tire thrown on the rim that we brought in. They had the tire in stock - that's good! we'll be out in ten minutes!? No it would be an hour and a half they said -- OK? so we came back after 2 hours and sat for another 30 mins before Joe Slow started on our tire!! One Tire! that we rolled in! Off the car already! -- Yep way late for dinner! No Bad review can even begin to explain why it takes so long to put a tire on - Ive done a lot of tires myself and could have literally put the tire on by hand faster. I am going 2 stars here because I was happy with the price, that is one good thing anyway! They just didnt explain that for that price you get to wait all day -- just think if you wanted 4 tires! on the car! Yow!

Ames Automotive
I had Ames Automotive do some work on my car this week. I was given a quote over the phone and when I picked up the car, it was a hundred dollars more BUT the owner honored the quote I was given. I went in later and was going to pay the difference because I also wanted to do the right thing, and he would not take my check. Ames Automotive will get a lot more of my business!

Midas Auto Service Experts
Love these guys and gals. I have never had a problem with them upping the price. They quote a price and stick to it. Their labor price is competitive and their mechanics have been with them for several years. I recommend them to all who ask. They also have a shuttle service if it is needed.

KVL Custom Equipment
Kurt at KVL Custom Equipment was fantastic. I took my 2011 Jeep there to have my lift put on. He was very knowledgeable and provided fantastic and fast service. I was so happy with how my jeep turned out I went back to him for my new Oracle Halo Headlights! I would recommend him to anyone.

Foss Toyota
Previously had some issues with Rick the first time we visited Foss, swore I would never return, but upon a second visit found a much improved sales team. Nick and Bobby(?) were very helpful and we were able to get into a vehicle at an extremely fair price. Ask for them if you go in :)

Master Mechanic
I took my 2013 Ford Explorer to get an overall tune up. Tom was extremely professional. I explained that i was giving that vehicle to my son. He explained exactly what he did and why and I felt very confident in turning the vehicle over to my son.

Doyle Johnson's, Inc.
I can not complain about their work however they charge way to much for the repair and will try to sell you parts you do not need !!! I suggest you shop around before you let them work on your vehicle !!!

Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
