Larry did call me. Thank you. On another note, I received a call from FORD asking me if anyone had contacted me from Greiner. When I said that you had, they were surprised. My sense is that not everyone is attentive to email requests as you are. Thank you for paying attention.

Peerless Tires 4 Less
The Laufenn tires they recommended for my suv are excellent. Good grip, smooth handling and less noise than the old tires. The service was fast and professional. And, best of all, the price was very reasonable!Update: I almost forgot to mention, the free tire rotation with any tire purchase is an amazing bonus!

Peerless Tires 4 Less
I work for the Boys and Girls Club and the service and professional attitude is just awesome. I have personally purchased tires there for my mom, myself and kids and have never had an issue. When it is time to check things, they are the best. I am sorry someone had a bad review but for me they are number one!!!

Casper Tire
Some people love this place but I won't use them again. They attempted to rip me off big time. I went in for an alignment and asked for a quote for 2 tires while I was there, the guy gave me a quote of $155 for their cheapest tires. Did NOT say verbally nor in the paper copy of the quote that that was the price for ONE tire, not 2 like I had asked for initially. After I dropped off the truck, they called to say they couldn't do the alignment because my tie rods had play in them and quoted nearly 3x the price for each upper and lower tie rods than I could get them elsewhere in town. I had them just do the tires and went to pick up the truck and ended up having to pay $325, double what I had been quoted. Can't tell them to take them back so I'm stuck with tires I could have gotten for $25-$50 less anywhere else. They also apparently provide free rotation and flat services according to other people but when I was there they just took my money and booted me out the door, did not say anything about these services. They also had a racist poster hanging in the office. Will not patronize this business ever again.

Peerless Tires 4 Less
We took our car in to have the studded snow tires removed and the regular tires mounted and balanced. We also asked that they check/repair one of the studded tires as it had been low. They forgot to check the studded tire and told us to just have it done when we had them put back on. We left on a road trip a few days after and after an uncomfortable and frightening ride with severe vibration and a feeling of losing control of the vehicle, we took it to a tire shop in another town and the tires were all very low and when they balanced them the worst was 2oz off and the best was .75 oz off. We obviously had to pay for that service. When we returned home we went to the shop with our receipts and explained what happened. The manager and another worker were argumentative, belligerent and told us that it wasn't possible that the tires weren't properly mounted and balanced and we should have returned it to them if we had a problem. They refused to do anything and even followed us out as we left continuing to argue and used vulgar language. Bottom line: service was not properly performed and customer service was horrible. Update: I emailed the corporate offices of Peerless Tire, they responded quickly, apologized and issued a refund check for the amount that we had paid the casper location for the mount/balance.

Peter and Jason both do a great job. Bill Newman and Tom Maher are very professional as well. We always visit Greiner for our vehicle needs.
Tips & Advices
Yes. New tires purchased online can often be priced lower than ones at a tire dealership. Buyers can often avoid state sales taxes and locate hard-to-find tire styles and sizes, but will still have to locate a local tire installer and pay sometimes high shipping costs.
The average cost of a set of new tires is $637, with a range of between $525-$725. In addition, installation includes mounting and balancing, alignment, and disposal of old tires.
The vehicle is raised and the old wheels are removed, then the old tires are removed from the wheels. The lug nuts, wheels, and valve stems are inspected and replaced as needed. The new tires are mounted and sealed, then inflated and balanced. The wheels are then replaced on the car. The average installation takes approximately 45 minutes.
Agencies such as the Tire Industry Association promotes tire safety through advocacy and education to the industry including: manufacture, sales, repair, service and recycling. Seek a full-service tire dealer who carries a wide variety of tire types and brands and asks about the type of driving you normally do.
  • Move your car to a safe location.
  • Turn on your car’s safety lights, apply the parking brakes and remove the hubcap if there is one.
  • Loosen the lug nuts with a lug wrench (but do not remove them), raise the vehicle with a jack and then fully remove the lugnuts.
  • Remove the flat tire and replace it with the spare tire.
  • Tighten the lug nuts by hand, lower the car and then tighten them fully with the lug wrench.
