Caliber Collision
Had a bad accident late last year and as a Certified Nationwide Collision Center an appraiser was not sent out and Caliber did the damage assessment. They told me it would be 8k in repairs and absolutely no damage to the frame. 13 weeks later I was told multiple times the frame was NOT bent and new issues kept arising. Long story short, came out to over 13k in repairs and when they told me my car was done, it would not drive straight because the frame was BENT!!! Caliber tried to rob me and lie about my frame not being bent so they could make some money, there is absolutely no excuse on why this was not totaled from the beginning except greed and horrible ethics. If I did not question and bring it up with my insurance, I would be stuck with a car with a bent frame. They told me and reassured me 7Xs it was not bent and everything was perfect which is far from the truth. Bottom line, THESE GUYS ARE CROOKS and I will never recommend them to anyone. Find another shop these guys will rob you.

Please do not take your vehicle to Cary collision. The owner Scott Phillips does not stand behind his promises. The workmanship is as shoddy as it gets. We worked with met life who sent us there to have our front end fixed. It took two weeks to get in and they kept the car for 3 days. When I picked the car up, there was a huge new scratch on my front quarter panel, my engine light was on and the so called repair they did was done incorrectly. They basically pieced parts together underneath my car instead of actually replacing the front end. To top it off, they put 190 miles on my car during the three days they had it. BTW, I live five minutes from them. When we brought the car back to them the next morning, the owner, Scott Phillips, refused to look at the car and said he had no interest in fixing the issues. Met life had cut them a check for payment, so they got what they wanted. We now are going to have to get our front end repaired elsewhere and seek legal avenues. Please steer clear of this awful place.

Caliber Collision
I really can't say enough good things about Caliber Collision at Cary Crossroads. Alora and Rusty and the front office staff were amazing to work with. They took care of every single detail when I brought in my 2015 Nissan Murano for some bodywork. They kept me updated on the progress and even got the work done ahead of their estimated delivery date. Everyone I dealt with was courteous, professional, and just plain nice and helpful. When I got the car back and discovered that the automatic tailgate lift wasn't working (which shouldn't have been affected be the bodywork they did on the side of the car), they didn't question it or accuse me of trying to get them to fix something pre-existing. They just had me bring the car back and took a look. 30 minutes later, the issue was resolved with a system reset and I was on my way with no extra charges or problems. If it were possible to give more than 5 stars, I would!

A minor paint job took them 4 days to complete, never return phone call, no customer service at all. Avoid.

Cary Auto Body Specialists
After having the side of my car damaged and needing two doors replaced with the body work I was concerned the difficult color would be hard to match. I also was on a tight timeline due to a VIP client arrival. I had a quote on a Thursday and my car was left on a Monday to be returned exactly when they said it would. The body work is fantastic and the color match is unreal. When I picked my car up it had been washed and shined up tires and all. Fantastic. I was absolutely thrilled since I take car of my vehicles and it is fundamental to my line of work to have a great looking vehicle. I recommend them highly.Chris N.

Hendrick Collision Center Cary
Cannot recommend this business. Too long for repairs, poor customer service, no one answers their phone, orders wrong parts (twice) and worst - Made promises to my insurance company that they would make good on our poor experience (they admitted 100% fault) and have yet to do that. I am working with my insurance company to remove them as a preferred location. Had to threaten to get my car back. Took 33 days for a minor repair. Clueless and truly didn't care. Still waiting on their survey to arrive in mail....

Just used them today for an estimate on some scratches to my finish. My car was brought in for about 15 minutes and out it came like a new car. Not only was it a pristine job, but they did it free of charge!! I offered to pay anything but they wouldn't accept my money. Please support local business and people like this who are doing good things!!

Maaco Collision Repair & Auto Painting
This place was absolutely fantastic in doing repairs on my car....not to mention the LIFETIME Warranty. Some people just do not understand that when you go in for an estimate....that's exactly what it is...an ESTIMATE. They made clear to me that there could be additional damage, not that it worried me b/c I was filing it on my insurance and they would take care of anything related to the accident. A+++ for this MAACO!
Tips & Advices
Using a variety of tools and processes, many of which require specialized training, auto body mechanics primarily repair cosmetic and structural damage to vehicles after accidents occur. They can also enhance a vehicle’s appearance and performance by replacing and adding new parts to a vehicle’s body.
This depends on the severity of the work that needs to be done. Something such as paintless dent repair for a few small dents can take an hour. Whereas auto body repairs for damages caused by a major accident can take multiple days to correct.
All auto body parts can be repaired but there is a threshold for the level of repairs possible. Parts can be damaged beyond repair and would need to be wholly replaced.
Auto body parts can be made from a wide variety of materials, usually based on what the part’s purpose is. Vehicle frames body panels, bumpers, roof racks, and other items that need to be strong and durable are usually constructed from steel, which is known for its durability and resistance to rust and high temperatures. But aluminum is quickly becoming a popular material of construction due to its lightweight yet durable nature. Body kits and other aftermarket parts like spoilers and hoods can be constructed from one form of plastic or another.
Yes, the vast majority of car makes and models have aftermarket parts available for many of their components. But higher-end vehicles typically have less aftermarket parts available since they often use specialized materials and manufacturing processes that are difficult to duplicate for many aftermarket manufacturers.
