ProMo Lawn Care
These guys did good at the start about a year and a half ago. Sales pitch was awesome, and hence, why I signed them on even at premium $$$. They did pretty good for about 6 months. The last year has been horrible. I can't even get up my walk without ducking down (really wish I could post a picture here). My grass is close to knee high. I just called to cancel and the guy said, "well we were there the 19th of May". HUH? Today is June 1 and the rains have been heavy... $120/month for them to come once a month? If you want to throw money away and have a nasty looking lawn to boot, have at. My recommendation, shop elsewhere...Edit: I cancelled with them stating at the end of this month which I already paid for. Said he'd show up Wednesday but didn't. He knows my 9 yo daughter is having her birthday party here Saturday. He's not answering my phone calls or returning my messages. Betting he won't refund this month either unless I take him to court. Don't even look at this company if you know what's best for you...

Palm City Nursery-Landscaping
When we moved here from Indiana we went to several landscape businesses to get information on which plants to purchase. They ( Palm City) were by far the most helpful. We purchased 8 palm trees that they planted and GUARANTEED.We then had them sod our back yard. Again we were happy with the excellent service. They will always be our choice for landscaping.

Palm City Nursery-Landscaping
We've purchased trees from Palm City three times in the past year and each time we very pleased and satisfied. They have a large selection of healthy, beautiful trees. The owners are very knowledgeable and helpful. The prices are excellent and include delivery and planting. They're meticulous when positioning the trees and the clean up all the mess.

Tips & Advices
Employers must conduct all required training in a language and vocabulary that workers can understand. Training must demonstrate the hazards of operating certain machinery, like stone cutters and splitters, as well as how to use them appropriately. It's important to verify that your landscape contractor has taken the necessary steps to fully train its personnel and that the appropriate safety precautions are in place.
Check the specific regulations for your area, and verify that your contractor has the necessary licenses. These may include a state contractor's license, pesticide license, CDL driver's license and license to sell and purchase nursery stock.
Landscape work is not cheap, so it's in your best interest to make sure that it's done to your requirements and that you get the best contractor to do the job. Homeowners should know how much they'll need to pay for the contractor's service as well as how they will be billed for this work. Ask about any design fees, if quoted prices are fixed or estimates, and what the payment process will be. Clarifying these items in the beginning will prevent any surprise expenses.
Yes. Homeowners should require that the contractor submit certificates verifying compliance with safety, insurance, workers' compensation and drug and alcohol testing programs. This will give you peace of mind that the contractor has gone through all the steps under industry regulations.
Yes. Every good contractor should have a list of recently completed jobs that you can see in their portfolio. They should also have a list of references that you can contact, or properties that you can see in person.
