Colorful Homes Inc- Painting and Restoration
We hired Jason and his crew from Colorful Homes to do some custom painting in our new home, 24 foot ceilings, with arches, columns, a movie theater room and a hundred other challenging obstacles to conquer. It was admittedly a very tough job and it was handled perfectly. Jason came out to bid this job, he was the last of several companies bidding, his pricing was very competitive and knowledge of his profession was impressive. But what made this company stand out from the rest was the personality. We liked him right from the start and his crew like Ray and the others were very polite, respectful and courteous. They take pride in what they are doing which seems lost in alot of the companies we have dealt with over the last year or so. We would highly recommend this company for any of your painting needs. We liked them so much when Jason told me about the specialized work they do on garage flooring we will be using them for that as well. If you would like to speak with us if your considering using this company we will be happy to answer your questions. When they come out to bid you home or business ask them for my email and I will be happy to talk with you. We rarely ever do that for a company but we were so happy with their work that we want to help spread the word about the company. I challenge you to find a company that will do the work they did at the price they did it for and the quality of work done, you will be hard pressed to find it anywhere. Sincerely, Scott D. Hoffman

John O Wilson Painting Co
I had them paint my home. They did such an amazing job. Their staff was wonderful. They left my home cleaner then when they started. They painted both the exterior and the interior of my home. They had someone of staff who came out and helped me select colors, who spent hours with me because I just couldn't make up my mind. They gave me lots of good suggestions like, put swatches of the same colors in different areas of the same room because the light hits in in different ways and it will look different, I didn't believe them and they were right. Same thing on the outside, they had me put up swatches of the colors I like on different walls of my home, especially in the lanai and front entry because with a pool and canal the color would look different then on a wall with grass and in the entry where it barely gets any natural light. They were right and it made the decision change for the colors we selected. This was the third time I painted my home here in Florida but this was the first time I have heard of LRV (light reflective values) and they made a huge difference. This paint company knows their stuff and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to get a paint job done!!! I will definitely be recommending to all my friends and family!!

They are great, very professional, clean, reliable! For sure I will call them again. I'm from out of town of Cape Coral, Fl and I was able to make the deal over the phone, when I saw the final result I was very happy!

Tips & Advices
For a long-lasting paint job, a clean wall is crucial. Ask how they plan to clean your walls, if at all, before getting started. A high-quality company will thoroughly prepare a wall so that the paint will lay smoothly and last a long time.
Yes. A well-established company will have more experience and likely more references for you to reach out to than a new company that's just getting off the ground. Be sure to ask for references so you can speak to former customers about their experience working with the painter. When speaking to these people, ask about:
  • Whether they had issues with the crew
  • If the painters were messy or neat
  • How the paint has held up since the project was completed
The quality of the paint will affect how good the walls look when the project is completed. If your contractor says they plan on using a paint you don't like, feel free to request an alternative.
If the contractor makes a point to train new hires on safety techniques as well as quality standards on the job, you're probably in good hands.
Unfortunately, there are plenty of cases where a painter has stolen items from a home or caused damage to the house or injury to the homeowner. Subcontractors may not be as skilled as employees, and the contractor you're hiring may not have much experience working with them, making them more of a risk. Additionally, ask if the painters are employees or subcontractors, and what the screening or hiring process is like.
