Shay Mona D DO
Called due to bleeding but I was told Dr Shay isn’t seeing her patients rather she is scheduling everyone with her Nurse Practioner & it would be a month before the nurse could see me. The staff advised I go to ER if the bleeding continued. The bleeding got so bad I ended up going to the ER. When I got to the ER I found they failed to mention Dr Shay no longer services Aultman Hospital so another doctor had to be brought in. The ER doctor needed to review my records so I requested a copy sent over. After discharge I really wanted to review everything with Dr Shay and try to get answers for what I was going through. I confirmed my long awaited appt with Dr Shay’s NP. Showed up on time for my 7am appt to find out Dr Shay cancelled it & all services for my having my past records reviewed by the ER doctor. I talked with Dr Shay and though I requested her care but she was cold and didn’t care that she was leaving me without medical care. I absolutely do not recommend Dr Mona Shay’s practice!

Okay, I am very unhappy with the help I tried to get. I'm not the type of person that is willing to talk to an answering machine. If this is what it takes to get any help, I have problems, but you have more than I do if this is how your program works.

The staff and doctors are truly miracle workers as long as you listen and do what they tell you right.

They can never line up their schedules and refills right. My husband works on Wednesdays (when they have prescription refill meetings) and has struggled to get his prescription refilled every few months. You can call none stop but no one will call you back for days. The people that work their tell you not to suddenly stop taking antidepressants(because it amplifies your depression or anxiety really bad) but they have no problem forcing their patients to do so while they take their time refilling prescriptions. My husband suffers so much and can hardly handle his mood swings while they do this. This has had a crazy effect on our family and no one I have spoken to cares. It's always someone different we need to talk to and usually all we can do is leave voicemails for days on end. They made him go three weeks with out his meds once. I am concerned for all the people who probably have killed themselves waiting for thier prescriptions.

I can't say enough about Dr. Pentz and his stall. He has given me injections to help my knee pain. He is a kind and caring doctor that I would recommend for any orthopedic problems.

Mark Weiner MD
I was referred to Dr Weiner for severe head, neck and right sided pain. He came in, listened intently, ordered testing to find the culprit of my problems.. And I am now awaiting a surgery in His capable hands. Part of my injury is due to domestic violence at the hands of my first husband. Dr. Weiner listened intently, but more importantly showed compassion, kindness and No judgement concerning my past. I was so impressed I encouraged my husband to see him for His pain, and he will have His surgery in 2 weeks by Dr Weiner. We feel very at ease, trust his abilities and are very comfortable with the decision we made for him to be Our surgeon. His reputation is excellent.

Jones, Simonette, MD
My sister has this doctor and she was so rude to her. My sister 70 year old and 3 years ago had 3 stoke she don't all way's understand. So today the doctor Jones a well know heart doctor of Canton was talking mean to my sister while she giving her a stress test. It really upset my sister. We help watch over my sister who live alone and I told I am going report her. Doctor Jones has no bed side manner and I told my sister to only let doctor Cumming the other heart doctor touch her. Shame on Doctor Jones treating her patients this way.

Tips & Advices
This depends on the facility. Patients should call to find out if they'll need a referral from their physician prior to making an appointment.
Aside from hyperbaric oxygen treatment, most wound care centers offer:
  • Debridement: The removal of dead skin and tissue surrounding the wound. This can be done surgically, using a whirlpool bath, syringes, enzymes that dissolve the tissue, or wet dressings that dry on the wound and absorb the dead tissue.
  • Dressing: Wrapping the wound in a protective film, gauze, gel, or foam.
  • Compression stockings: Tight-fitted fabric sheaths that encourage blood flow.
  • Artificial skin: A covering that is applied to the wound for several days as it heals.
  • Ultrasound: The use of sound waves to promote healing.
  • Growth factor therapy: The use of materials naturally produced by the body to encourage quick cell growth.
  • Negative pressure therapy: Creating a vacuum around a wound to encourage faster blood flow to the area.
Depending on where the treatment is administered, hyperbaric oxygen treatment  can cost $100- $1,000. After insurance is applied, patients may have a copay of $10 -$50 or a coinsurance fee of 10 percent to 50 percent.
Most wounds should heal within two to six weeks. An individual should seek chronic wound treatment if a wound has not begun to heal after two weeks or is not completely healed after six.
Most health insurance plans cover wound care. Patients should check with the clinic and their health insurance provider before seeking treatment to be sure.
