    please go somewhere else and maybe pay more for a place that will actually care about your health and fitness. Stay away or you will regret it

    Im surprised to read these other reviews. I can't even picture any of the stafg acting the ways described! I have been a member there since it opened and have always been very satisfied with my experiences. The staff is always very friendly. Cheerful greetings upon arrival and wishes for a great day upon departure is their mode of operating. The facilities are always kept clean and, amazingly, smelling fresh! I never have a problem getting on the machine I want. I took my son to another facility the other day for a tour, and was all the more appreciative of PF. It stank and the staff were unavailable to help. I'm staying put!

    I enjoyed the 30 minute circuit. I was interested in the light therapy and inquired about the upgrade when they were offering it with no annual fee. I couldn't sign the releases for the light therapy because I didn't have my reading glasses. No one explained that there was a possibility that I wouldn't be able to use the machine if I took certain medications. When I came back in later in the month the girl at the counter handed me the papers and noticed the exclusions as I was filling them out. I voiced my concerns to her and said that I was disappointed that no one explained this to me. I said that I would complete the papers concerning the light therapy after i talked with my doctor. She wanted me to give her the signed papers and 'figure out what i wanted to do later". Hmmm. I explained it wasn't a good idea to sign contracts until you have everything figured out and preceded to exit. She began SCREAMING for some man to come "STOP HER". He ran after me outside demanding the releases. I calmly told him that I wasn't comfortable giving him a signed release agreeing to use something I couldn't use. I was so embarrassed and shaken by this incident.

    I have never been humilated like I was today at Planet Fitness in Canton, MI. For the past couple of weeks I have been trying to change my membership. First I called, they told me to just come in and when I got there, they told me I needed a credit card present. Great!! who brings a credit card to the gym. They already have my billing info on file for the past year in a half. Anyways, finally I bring the credit card with me and they tell me it's going to be $59.99 to change my membership because I joined in July of 2012 and my year wasn't up. I did not join in the summer, I knew I joined in the winter. (That's when we get fluffy!). So I came home and found my paperwork and sure enough I joined in Dec. of 2011. My year was up. I went to the gym on Saturday and brought my credit card with me, finally a competent employee. Yes, I could change my membership at no charge, I gave her my credit card and signed the papers all done!!! So I thought! Well today, I went to the gym gave my membership# and she told me there was a problem with my billing, I told her I changed membership the day before, so she was going to look into it. I went to the locker room to put my coat away and came out and asked if everything was ok. She said she hasen't looked yet. I went and got on the treadmill and started my workout, the employee came over to me and said there employee on Saturday forgot to swipe my credit card, and that I had to take care of this. I said fine, let me finish my workout and I'll go to my car when I'm done and get my credit card. She had to check with the manager. The manager approached me and told me I had to take care of this now, it could not wait. I"m already on the treadmill WARMED up doing my workout. They want me to go get my coat on, run to my car, get my credit card to swipe it and run back out to my car, come back in to the locker room and then continue my workout? Who does that? I've been a member for awhile now. And besides my current month is paid in full until the 17th of this month and your not going to let me finish my workout! What's 45 more minutes? What if I didn't go to the gym today?? What if I didn't change my membership the other day?? Then there would have been NO billing issues!! Like 45 minutes is going to make a difference. They made me get off the treadmill humilated in front of these people in the gym like I'm stealing from them. I told her to cancel my membership, I no longer want to be a member here. Not being treated like that. She told me I would still be charged for the month, (meaning next month.) that I should have canceled my membership yesterday. Like I knew yesterday, that you people were going to treat me like this.Thought there was a problem with my billing info.??? Guess my credit card numbers will magically appear in there system when I get automatically charged on the 17th.. This place does not even deserve 1 star
