Herbert's Auto Repair
Honest, reliable service at an affordable price. Herbert's Auto Repair was recommended by Bill Borrows Transmission Repair in Joshua . Danny and his staff of mechanics at Herbert's Automotive are true professionals when it comes to auto repair. They keep the cost down and still used original manufacture equipment parts (OEM)I went in with a 2005 Ford Expedition with over 123,000 miles on it. The vehicle had never had a tune-up and was long over due. They use the latest computer equipment to diagnose what was needed in the way of parts and had the vehicle done in a day. Wow, what a difference in performance and gas mileage. Great job, great price! I would highly recommend Herbert's Auto Repair to family and friends!

First Professional Transmission
I thought I was going to have to get a rebuild or a new transmission and I knew I didn't have the money to do that and wasn't sure if my car was even worth putting that kind of money into. When they called me back in turned out to be just a part within the transmission that was giving me my issues and I spent 1/4 of what I thought I was going to spend. These guys are fair and will treat you right!!

Superior Auto Repair
This place is amazing!! I have the worst luck with cars and I am always hitting a curb and knocking my car's alignment off among other issues so I have used this shop often and for more than just my routine oil changes. They have gone above and beyond the typical customer service from auto shops! I highly recommend them and will continue to come to this shop for all of my car issues.

Advanced Total Kar Kare
They do quality work, but the technicians must be paid a bonus for selling extra services. It was better as Kwik Kar when they would recommend services and let you make a decision. With the hard sell they use now, I probably wont be going back. This was my second trip since the change over and I am not impressed.

Top Quality shop with ASE certification. In fact they told me they were the only ASE Blue Seal awarded shop in Burleson. Took in my Audi based on the outstanding reviews and they saved me $700 off the dealers quote. Nice work , done quickly and they informed me of every step along the way.. MY SHOP from now on!

Quik-Wrench Automotive Specialist
A+ Top Notch!! Great service, really take the time to explain what's going on. And very reasonable too. They periodically call to give a progress update. That goes along ways with me. About time we got some honest and professional mechanics around here. Too many rip off in this neck of the woods

Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
