Tony's Bella Vista Restaurant & Pizzeria
We like to order Bella Vista take-out on Sunday evenings before settling to watch whatever happens to be on HBO. The food is always great, always ready when they tell you it will be (generally 20-30 minutes), and the people are always friendly. If you're looking for specific recommendations on what to order, my favorites are the Lasagna Romana, the tortellini 3P, and a pizza with tomatoes, capicola and basil. But, regardless of what I order, I've never had a bad meal. Everything is delicious. I will warn you though, for some insane reason that I don't understand, when you order the antipasto salad, you have to pay an extra $2 to have it chopped. If you don't, it is literally just lettuce with whole slices of meat on top. In the future, I will avoid this extra $2 expense, by just not ordering the antipasto salad...because I am cheap, and because who needs a salad when there is lasagna to be eaten?

Novo Cafe
We went here on Mother's Day for dinner and the food was great. It was our first time eating there and we were impressed. It's a charming little Italian restaurant on the corner of Riverside and a little residential street. We made reservations for a patio table which was so nice because the weather was great. I had the cheese ravioli and that was delicious. The kids liked there food and actually ate it which sometimes doesn't happen at other restaurants. My son had the spaghetti and meatballs and my daughter had the cheese pizza.They even have options for vegetarians or Vegans. My sister in law got a vegan cheese pizza.Service was great. The waitress was super sweet and friendly to the kids.The prices are reasonable and the attire is casual.

Monte Carlo Delicatessen & Restaurant
Pinocchio's Restaurant has been around for many many years and is an iconic fixture in Burbank. A great place to have a casual Italian meal with friends and family. The portions are large and the food is good. This is not a fancy place, it's a casual feel good place. I recommend their eggplant parmesan with marinara sauce which comes with a side of garlic bread and I always order a side of olives. Yum!Now for Monte Carlo Deli...great selection of meats, cheeses, and sauces. Also their fresh pizza dough is a MUST have!!! It's so well priced and is awesome for making homemade pizzas or Stromboli.

I've been coming here since I was a little kid with my family and now I come here with my own family. Their pizza is fantastic here as well as the pasta salad. Stand in line and order all sorts of deliciousness from the counter where they serve you hot slices of lasagna and yummy salads. You also put in your pizza and drink orders here. Great atmosphere with the cork screw walls and comfy booths. Limited outside seating on small patio. Service sometimes is not with s smile hence the 3 stars for service.

Tony's Bella Vista Restaurant & Pizzeria
Overall good experience. Broth in soup was tasty but not enough veggies...mostly just a ton of onion. Chicken cacciatore was good with mushrooms and a gravy but, again, way too many onions and not enough mushrooms. Lasagna with meat sauce was very good. Spaghetti with meat sauce could have been good but the spaghetti was dry and clumped together as only pasta can. Meat sauce was tasty but not "wet" enough to unclump the pasta. We'll go back again to try something else.

Olive Garden Italian Restaurant
I know this is not supposed to be "authentic Italian" food but their soup and salad really hits the spot. Problem with this location is that it seems like there is ALWAYS a ridiculous 45 minute wait. Sorry but I don't like to wait. Also since they are so busy, it's like you are being rushed through dinner just so that they can get more people in. Plus side the salads, bread sticks and pastas are always on point.

Monte Carlo Delicatessen & Restaurant
This is our go to spot with our 3 year old daughter. She loves the pasta and meatballs. We usually get the chicken breast or the rosemary chicken and salad. They have a nice selection that can appease different pallets and age groups. Their gelato is fabulous and they sell surprise eggs... {ps: if your kids don't know what those are...a word of advice-keep it that way! Lol}

Making a ragu on Sunday? Need some sausages for a bbq or gelato? This Burbank deli can help you with both. Fantastic deli and Italian related goods. The other side is a restaurant and they serve big Americanized-Italian food -- massive amounts if you chow the food there. Their store gravy (ragu) is not that bad though it's made for American tastes.

I know this is a local favorite, but the food is bland and boring. I am all for sauce cooking all day, but I don't want chicken that's been sitting on a hot plate for hours. Really, I don't want to eat anywhere that reminds me of the cafeteria at school and that's exactly how I feel when I walk into Pinocchio's. The gelato is pretty good though.

Centanni
Love this restaurant! It has a warm, quaint, and cozy atmosphere, and the food is stellar! The artichoke salad is my favorite, but also really enjoy the seafood risotto, which is usually on special. My only recommendation would be to offer nicer wines by the glass, or make the wines by the bottle available by the glass as well.

Just a moment...
