Jinya Ramen
Updated review: The food is now as good as the others Jinya Ramen. I've been eating here at least twice a month and it is really good. My only gripe is that all Jinyas are ONLY offering wheat-based ramen noodles. It must be that most customers were asking for "Gluten free" noodles :)I wish I could order the normal noodles (non-wheat based) but they do not have them.In sum, this is a really good Ramen place and I totally recommend it.Older review:Brand new Jinya Ramen on Burbank. The Ramen is still not as good as other locations but I'm sure the chefs will improve on it shortly.I will come back and update my review as needed.

SanSai Japanese Grill
Located in the lot next to the airport entrance. I was very pleased with the young man who helped us at the counter. I told him what I wanted and he was able to suggest the appropriate plate combo. Food took awhile get - like 10 -15 minutes. Note that they close at 9 but stop refilling their salad supply by 8:30 so once they are out they are out. It was 8:15 and they were out of the Thai noodle, and cucumber salad. Kids really enjoyed the teriyaki beef and California rolls.

Sushi Fuji Japanese Restaurant
This is our go to place for sushi! Always fresh, always super tasty, always have great service, and always a great price! They have such fresh tasting rolls, sushi, sashimi. Big screen TV's to distract you from your boring date...But really they have TV's and fun catchy Pop music playing over a radio speaker. Fun times! Maybe it's not super fancy and frilly, but it's straight up good tasting food.We don't go any where else when we want sushi. Sushi Fuji is the place!

Octopus Japanese Restaurant
Convenient location in downtown burbank. Decor is nice. Getting seated had been awkward on several occasions. If there isn't someone there you usually have to wait until they you do. I make eye contact with the sushi chefs and they usually will call someone over. They have do have good deals for sushi especially the reverse happy hour. The sushi which is just ok. It used to be much better but now it's just kind of whatever. I think I'm done coming here.

Momotaro Japanese Restaurant
We've been coming to Momotaro since it opened years ago and it was fantastic- in the beginning but things have just slipped a bit. The service is hit or miss and the sushi is just a little leaner than it was. Also the big thing that keeps us away these days is that if you sit anywhere to the right of the sushi bar you smell the crazy intense bathroom disinfectant from the bathrooms. It really ruins an appetite.

Yaki's The Original Teriyaki Bowl
You have to try the bulldog. You have to. It's a hot dog, wrapped in cheese (I think American), deep fried in a wonton. The cheese pools at the bottom and the second half of your first one is pure fried perfection. Don't go for a second, end it there. But maybe try the teriaki chicken burger. Yaki's is a delightful surprise for a shack on Alameda.

Kabuki Japanese Restaurant
This place is OK. The service is not that great. The waitresses are slow and not attentive. And when you have food that is not that great and the service is not that great you really don't want to come back there are many sushi places in Burbank to choose from and this is not really the best place to go.

This is my go-to place when I need something yummy and affordable for dinner. My kids love the chicken teriyaki and I always get a spicy tuna roll. The restaurant itself is simple in decor but always clean and busy for lunch. Plus you may see Fritz Coleman grabbing a bite before the evening news :)

My whole family loves these restaurants - it's fun to cook at your table and the food is always so tasty. We went to this location the week it opened and they were a bit off. They messed up our order and everything was slow. Hopefully they've worked out the kinks.

Momotaro Japanese Restaurant
Momotaro impressed me from day 1 with free appetizers/water when you are waiting for a to-go order. If you're like me and you don't need fancy sushi just something tasty, I think this is the spot. Friendly staff, chefs always welcome and wish farewell.

Just a moment...
