Cecelia's Ristorante
We drove 2 hours to Buffalo for a night out in town, and our friends recommended Cecelia's. We started with drinks at the bar, as we were waiting for part of our group of friend. Bartenders were very nice, and we were very satisfied with the drinks. we were seated at the Patio, which does not required reservations, but were ready to have a good time, and nothing would damage our first night out in Buffalo. Our waitress was very nice, and the food was average. We asked the waitress to bring the bill to my partner and I, as we wanted to treat our friends. Once they learned about, they wanted to have more drinks, and why not an after meal drink, or two are perfect to end a nice evening... We placed the order for drinks, and within few minutes the Hostess came to our table, and with a not very friendly approach, informed us that if we wanted to have those drinks, we will have to have them standing in the patio area, or in the bar area. Initially, we did not bother, as we had all the intentions of having a good time. But... It came back to us that it was not appropriate for us to end our dinner... Standing... What about if we wanted more drinks?I will think twice to return to Cecelia's, specially if I have to drive 2 hours back and forth...

Brennan's Bowery Bar
We've been going to Brennan's for over 25 years, but our recent experience will keep us away for a long time. My husband, son and I were dining there on a Saturday night. The restaurant was quite full, and we were seated in a booth toward the back of the restaurant where the kitchen and waitress station are. When we were about halfway through our meal (which was only average), our waitress and began a loud argument with another waitress that lasted through the rest of our meal. They were oblivious to the fact that diners were turning to stare and sending them dirty looks. When a manager came to break it up, I assumed that he'd have the good sense to lead them back into the relative privacy of the kitchen. No such luck. He jumped into the fray, and we had to hear the whole thing re-hashed. Brennan's used to be a fun neighborhood pub with better than average food. But they've expanded and, in trying to accommodate far too many tables, have allowed their food and service to suffer. There are many better choices within a stone's throw.

Olive Branch Family Restaurant
This is definitely my new favorite restaurant! Its extremely clean! The servers are all really friendly, ours was a lovely young lady named Olivia and she was so friendly. The food is really good, HUGE plates with homemade food. Ive been here twice and both times I loved it. First time I had breakfast and the home fries are OUT OF THIS WORLD! Second time I had the gyro panini with Greek potatoes... I can't wait to go back and have another one. And the rice pudding... WOW!

Olive Branch Family Restaurant
This was one of the best experiences I've ever had with a restaurant. I didnt know what to expect and thought it would be a regular Greek restaurant. To my amazement, the menu was 7 pages and had the most variety of authentic Greek foods I've ever seen!!! I felt like I was in Mykonos or Athens for a while!! If you are looking for authentic Greek foods, I would definately recommend this restaurant. Very nice staff, so much hospitality!!!

Frank's Sunny Italy Family Restaurant
This used to be one of my favorite restaurants. I used to go there at least once a month. Not any more. Every time we go there, the service gets slower. The quality of their food has dropped as well. The portions are still big, but not nearly as good anymore. I would give it an average at best. I won't likely go back there too soon,

546 Yakitori & Donburi
The menu will be out on Thursday. So far it's a paper list. Food is excellent. Chef has 10 years experience as a hibachi chef. Had shrimp hibachi. Best fried rice ever. Rock shrimp appetizer with lemon lime sauce was amazing. New restaurant is open 4pm and staying open 'til 2am on weekends. My vote for best new restaurant this year.

Salvatore's Italian Gardens
I have always enjoyed the food, ambiance, and personal service recieved. My comment is to the latest commercials being aired. "Top Cuts?" Feel they are beneath Russell Salvatore and the institution he has made in Western N.Y.. Please pull the advertisment.... it is a disgrace to a Western N.Y. Landmark and is not needed.

I have been going there for nearly thirty years. I have tried Anchor Bar several times. I will always choose Duff's, same as the President (he just picked the wrong one). You get a lot of bang for your buck, and a lot better meal than Anchor Bar. It's in a lot nicer neighborhood, as well.
