This place was great, we came up to Buffalo for the Wing Festival, so naturally we tried the wings. Although the hot sauce is Franks Red Hot, the wings were out of this world they were crispy and hot. We ended up returning to the Pearl Street Grill two more times during our visit. The brewery had some of the best beers! This was also the only place to get food and drinks on a Sunday night, Buffalo shuts down around 8 on Sundays! This place always has a different crowd whether it's people watching football, an after-work crowd or tourists like us. I would definitely come here again. The staff was friendly and helpful.

My husband and I always find ourselves coming here for special date nights, like our anniversary. Not once has the food or service disappointed us. We were just here last week, and again the food and service proved to be excellent! The Blue Fish and the steak au poive are dishes we always order, (and they are delicious!) but this time we both choose pasta entrees. I have become a huge fan of the bolognese now. Something they used, some spice, really put it over the edge. I want to caution people that it can get super busy on the weekends- we tend to go early or mid week to avoid the crowds.

If you are the type to just go out for a few drinks with friends and don't want to go hit up the dance floor this is the place to go. The open back is great for getting fresh air. The two bars within makes it quick to get drinks. Overall it is a great place to go and just hangout.

Goodbar is a great place to go. Its always got people there....if you're looking for a chick or a dude theres always a bunch roaming around! On Thursday nights, Kevin McCarthy plays there and just rocks the house! He can get any party started.....he can play all kinds of music, whatever floats your boat. Stop by sometime and say hello to the gang at Goodbar!

248 Allen St
Host to some of Buffalo's best live music. Something different every night of the week- no matter what your musical taste, they are bound to please you. Usually a $10 cover for bands. Sunday nights are the Allen St. Jazz band- (never a cover) one of Buffalo's better small combos. Slow bar service. Good tap selection, fair prices. Has a small patio outdoors for smoking, but keep the volume down please! Not-so clean atmosphere, but not trying to impress. Limited (grungy) ""facilities"", and not so clean ""overall"". Watch Artvoice for the weekly lineup. It's a Buffalo institution, so give it a try!

Pokeys has always had a nice atmosphere on Hertel, mostly neighbors and friends just getting together for a good time, and the pork sandwich? Out of this world. It doesn't take long to realize you are in good hands at this tavern! Quality menu at a fair price,a clean and chic establishment and my favorite part of the experience, the staff! Bartenders and servers alike offer wit and charm with every drink! I will certainly be returning.
1122 Hertel Ave
Best Reuben Sandwich on Hertel, hands down. Owner poured the drinks and served the food like a Class Act. Yes, showing my age. But for those who remember the good ole days, they are back here at Joey's. Give it a try! I'll be back. Tom

This place is great. Excellent service, great food, great beer selection, long wine list (no junk either). Beautiful decor - you'll be comfortable in jeans or a suit (but don't look like a bum). Parking isn't too bad, but watch out for restrictions in front of the hospital. They could easily fit more tables in this place, but the open feel is nice and you're never right on top of another table. The owners, both named Dave, are usually around and very hospitable.

My friends and I take the trip out here every once in awhile to grab some wings. Pauly, one of the regular bartenders is also one of my favorite in the area. He's always great for some laughs and has one of the craziest voices you will ever hear.
555 Elmwood Ave
Thirsty Buffalo has a pretty decent beer selection. The bartenders and staff always seem friendly and I have never waited too long for a drink or food. The food is inconsistent. Sometimes I get good wings, and other times I have received small, not saucy, poor excuses for wings. The menu is typical bar food- and when it's good, well, it's good (and when it's bad...). You should try the Buffalo Quesadillas, they are surprisingly good: spicy chicken and cool blue cheese are a good combo. My real problem comes from the draft beer pours. For some reason it does not matter who the bartender is, or who ordered the drink for that matter. Whenever I go here (usually Friday for Happy Hour) the beer pours always come up short. The group of people I drink with all notice this happening. Forget about ordering a dark beer like a stout- they never let it sit before finishing, and you sadly watch the foam deflate and your beer turn from a pint to 12 or 10 ounces. Every beer, every time. I'm not sure what's going on, but I wish they would fix it or train the bartenders.
