Manko's Truck & Auto Repair
These guys are simply the best !!! Had an electrical check engine light problem with my car and had it at two other shops within a few miles of Manko's. My car was tied up over three weeks with the other shops not being able to repair my car. The Mr. and Mrs. Manko were very informative, service was GREAT !!! and my car was not only diagnosed, but repaired in one day !!! Just a ton of knowledge at this place, great service, and by the way, spotless clean !! Over the past 21 years of auto service, I've never seen or been to a better place...This service shop is 5 STARS ALL THE WAY !!!

Goodyear Auto Service Center
I am just writing to saw how well my trip to the Niagara Street downtown Buffalo location went today, Friday, June 13th around 10:30am. I wanted to let you know that I am so happy with the amazing customer service provided by Mike Girling, your Manager. I am currently having brakes (rotors, pads, sensors) put on my SUV and am happy with the way he explained your services needed and prices. I know I was given a great fair price compared to what the dealer would offer. I am a first time customer but now will keep coming back and will be sending family and friends back as well.

Jake and Jill Auto
if you are looking for an honest garage to take your car. This is the place you need to go. they are the best and I have been to a few. My car and I have never been happier. One of a kind Auto care., Nicest owners and mechanics ever. they care about your car and give top notch service. I highly recommend this garage. Once you try them you will see what I mean. It is hard to find decent honest mechanics. I found one and I am not going anywhere else.

Bill's Garage
To any one out there that is looking for one of those mechanic shops you can truly trust what they are saying to you and its HONEST! You've found it , when my sister had a junk car no holds bar he told her when he told me what I had to fix on my own vehicles over the 8 years I've been going there. The problem was resolved, Oh... and yes Bill and Robby can talk but your own bill will be fare and honest at the end of the day.

Jimmy's Auto Repair aka Tepas Auto Repair
Jimmy's Auto (formerly Tom Tepas auto repair. Tom retired but it's the same great staff/mechanics) is fantastic. I am a single women so I am always a bit leery when taking my car for repairs. I have had my car into Jimmy's three times now. Each time the repairs were quicker and much less expensive than expected. I have always gotten my car back on the same day. I have recommended Jimmy's to all my friends and family.

Midas Auto Experts
Pat and his employees are very knowledgeable, courteous, and respectful! I know that I am in good hands when I take my car to him. He is trustworthy and will offer a fair price. I cannot say that about all of the mechanics that I have gone to, but I can say that about Pat and his mechanics. I have been a customer for many years and would recommend that my family and friends go to Pat.

E C Auto Shop
By far, the best auto repair shop in the area. Very professional and friendly employees. I took my vehicle to get a second opinion, because a different shop told me that my transmission was bad, and needed replacement. Came to this guys and ended up just being a bad sensor! it saved me hundreds of dollar! that I didn't need to spend. Very grateful for their honesty.

Kings Total Car Care
I just had the best experience. I was long overdue for an oil change and inspection. whenever I go to a mechanic or oil change specialty shop I have paid as much as $120.00 for just an oil change because of up selling. I tried kings today for the first time. NO UP SELLING AT ALL. Advice for future concerns but that is great. I highly recommend.
Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
