After his reputation and my experience my only surprise is that he doesn't already have some good reviews here on YP.Everyone that I know that has used Jeff speaks highly of him. So, when I started to have transmission trouble I went to him & I don't regret it. He's smart, thorough, and explained to me the problems that I was having--honest and straight forward. He squeezed me into a busy schedule (during spring break) and did exactly what I asked; got me and my fam up and running again! I'll definitely use him in the future when needed & recommend him.

Boyd's Transmissions
My transfer case went out. The owner repaired it for about 2600 and 3 months later, it went out again. After towing the vehicle 300 miles back to his shop, Mr. Boyd informed me he would not value his warranty and I had to pay an additional 2400. He wouldn't even face me when it come to pay the bill. Coward and a liar!!! I repeat, do not go here.If Mr. Boyd were to legitimately offer $1000, why wouldn't he offer to stand behind his warranty? I was from out of town and had to spend 11 days in a hotel (my own money) while he put a second transfer case in. During that time, he did offer to provide a loaner vehicle, but when I accepted the offer; he didn't have one!!! Not that he would stand behind the 1000 offer (which is why I don't call, yet), but what type of proof does he want? A vin number? This is what he asked for when I told him his second transfer case went out. How about the two receipts from his shop with dates less than 3months apart? Is that proof enough because I still have them :)

Disappointing. They fixed a few things, but didn't fix what I wanted (the water pump). Replaced my brake disks, but not the brake-shoes for some reason. While replacing the fan clutch they messed up the nut behind the fan pretty bad. Lee told me to bring it back; they'd take care of me but when I did he said they couldn't do anything about it. I wasted $1,200.

If i could give this man zero stars , I would . He's a ridiculous mess . He came to my job to observe my car to see what had happened. He told me that it was the main seal . After having it for about a week or 2, he told me that it needed a harmonic balancer . I ordered that part and it turns out to be the wrong part. He left that part on the back of his truck to get all wet and rusty. I couldn't believe it was the brand new part that I had just bought. I ordered the new one and it took him a whole month to answer the phone again. This idiot had my car for 3 moths and he still didn't fix what he was supposed to fix. As a matter of fact, it's worse. He poked so many holes on the side of my engine. He never replaced the seal that he was supposed to. My husband called and confronted him and he started getting smart and disrespectful. He tried to take advantage because I was a woman. I'm informing you not to go to him for services. Mad disrespectful , for real !

Boyd's Transmissions
They had our car for 5 weeks, told us he would give us a free estimate. We called 8 times and left messages. Finally he called back when he wanted $350 to see what was wrong with the transmission. Never take your vehicle to Boyd's. He lied just to get our car there, $350 is not free. We would have paid $350 if he hadn't lied. The employees are so rude, customer service is not one of their strong points either.
Tips & Advices
You should change your oil filter whenever you change your oil, that is, approximately every 7,500 miles.
A oil filter is a device that helps remove contaminants from motor oil as it passes through the engine. A pump pushed the oil through the filter where it is strained and goes back to the engine.
High-mileage oil contains special conditioners that are said to help prevent gaskets from drying out and thus preventing leaks. This can be beneficial to engines with many miles on them.
Synthetic oil costs more than conventional oil, but the price is offset by the need for less frequent oil changes due to the oil’s durability.
Tools needed to change your own oil include jack stands or ramps, a wrench, an oil filter wrench, an oil drip pan, funnel, replacement oil filter, and replacement oil.
