Alam General Contracting Inc
I’ve gotten my whole house renovated including the Exterior. Marbled tiles, granite steps and even got a deck installed in my backyard. Everything was done efficiently and taken into high consideration. Would definitely recommend Alam again if needed.

G&M Home Improvement & Construction
WARNING: I received the victory Judgement (dated 9/19, 2017) from the Manhattan Supreme Court about my legal actions against the Omar Maxwell's Maxwell & Maxwell Corp as well as his G&M Home Improvement & Construction (207 Troy Ave, Brooklyn)regarding the breach of contract was granted by the Judge t $38,000 from this evil guy. This is a public record. Maxwell took my payments of $42,000 (I paid him weekly) but he never finished my house repairs at all, took down his website, ran away, and hid himself somewhere. No electricity, no running water, no doors, trashed wet basement, pile of junks in the front yard, even 8 weeks of his company's low quality works on my house (it was damaged by the Hurricane Sandy). He is a black man with short hairs with no facial hairs, and only speak about how good his company does jobs: when you tell the job is behind the schedule, he just change the conversation by saying "just think how good you will feel when it is finished." Most of his workers (including the electrician) never got paid. (update 2017.10.07)SCAMMING EVIL COMPANY: THEY TOOK MY MONEY ($42,000) AND THEY DID NOT FINISH MY HOUSE REMODELING AND THEY SUDDENLY DISSAPPEARED: Omar Maxwell (owner of "G&M Home Improvement & Construction. as well as "Maxwell & Maxwell Corp", black guy mid 40s short hair, no facial hairs, cell phone: 718.578.6973) nor his office 844.540.8735 never returned phone calls after his contractors (2 Spanish speaking black men - Eddy ande Freddy and a hispanic men)stopped showing up. Today is 10/1, 2015. This is fact. I am Takeshi Yamada in Brooklyn, NY. I am planning to bring this matter to the court with a lawyer shortly. (2015.10.01)

NY Home Improvement Services
We first heard about Andy, owner and contractor for NY Home Improvement Services, from my sister. He did a remarkable job installing a new kitchen, stairway with excellent plumbing and electrical work for her. It looked great. From my own experience I can tell you he is the guy for any job. Andy helped to renovate and modernized my home with a new kitchen, porch and sound proof floorings. He is very professional and has great insights and vision. The quality of his work can be seen through his workmanship. Andy is a guy you can depend on. He’s always on the job, reliable and most amazingly his price for the professional work is remarkable. He truly listened to my desires and made sure to explain all possible options to achieve the best outcome. I have been through a lot of contractors, but he is the BEST and my contractor for life. I truly will recommend him to anyone.

Handy2995
This company is real professional. They are extremely affordable, have flexible hours and the workers are friendly. They offered flexibility with any time that i chose and were willing to work late hours. Since it was by hour, i had him fix everything around the house. I loved it because instead of a contractor charging me tons of money to fix a few items, i paid the worker 29.95 an hour. In the end they even cleaned my basement and removed my garbage.

NY Home Improvement Services
I'm writing this review for the job that was done 8 months ago. It's easy to get exited about newly done bathroom, but how well would it hold down the road? I've lived in my "new construction " town house for about 12 years and recently noticed grouts falling out from between the tiles......After few attempts of sealing it myself I started calling contractors. Andy's people picked up phone immediately, spoke professionally and showed up promptly. I did not do full bath remodeling, just needed to fix tiles around the bathtub. From removing debris to layering foundation to waterproofing and, finally, to cleaning the work place , Andy's work was thorough, done skillfully and with great precision. It was obvious, he knew what he was doing and took pride in his work. Today it is as solid as it was on the first day, beautiful, even, no cracks.... Without a doubt I recommend Andy to anyone in need of a quality work. This was the best and most memorable experience of having people doing work in my house.

My whole family uses Precision Painting Plus for all our painting projects. We started with them over 5 years ago and they have never let us down.
Tips & Advices
Employers must conduct all required training in a language and vocabulary that workers can understand. Training must demonstrate the hazards of operating certain machinery, like stone cutters and splitters, as well as how to use them appropriately. It's important to verify that your landscape contractor has taken the necessary steps to fully train its personnel and that the appropriate safety precautions are in place.
Check the specific regulations for your area, and verify that your contractor has the necessary licenses. These may include a state contractor's license, pesticide license, CDL driver's license and license to sell and purchase nursery stock.
Landscape work is not cheap, so it's in your best interest to make sure that it's done to your requirements and that you get the best contractor to do the job. Homeowners should know how much they'll need to pay for the contractor's service as well as how they will be billed for this work. Ask about any design fees, if quoted prices are fixed or estimates, and what the payment process will be. Clarifying these items in the beginning will prevent any surprise expenses.
Yes. Homeowners should require that the contractor submit certificates verifying compliance with safety, insurance, workers' compensation and drug and alcohol testing programs. This will give you peace of mind that the contractor has gone through all the steps under industry regulations.
Yes. Every good contractor should have a list of recently completed jobs that you can see in their portfolio. They should also have a list of references that you can contact, or properties that you can see in person.
