The big difference between good pizza and great pizza is all in the ingredients--if they're not fresh they're not worth it. Monte's definitely knows how to keep things fresh and great.

I have been to this reliable restaurant several times and have not been disappointed. While, I do believe the menu offerings are not very creative, the guality is excellent. The ingredients are fresh and it shows in the finished product. Tthe service is also attentive and the decor is lovely.

Pretty place, but kind of out of the way, at least for us. Great service, excellent house red wine. Homemade pasta, which I haven't had in a long time. Yummy pizza. I really recommend it.

Went to Savoia for the first time last Saturday night. It won't be the last time I go there! Went with the family to celebrate a birthday and in the group is my 96 year old grandmother. Our waitress was so attentive to her - made her feel so special. The food was wonderful. The portions were just right - not to small and not too big. Desserts were sinfully good. Please don't share this review with too many people. I want to keep it to myself but felt compelled to write about the wonderful evening.

This place gives you a taste of Italy. I don't live to far away from here. I eat here often, and I was upset this summer when they were closed untill July 17th for vacation. This place is high class, and caertain clothing like hats, tanks, and shorts are violated. My mother and I will keep comming back, especially on Sundays.......

I have been going to Ortobello's for a few years now and anyone that I have ever taken to the restruant have raved about the food. Those from out of town wished the restruant was a chain so they could find one in their town. Those of us lucky enough to live around the area and know about the quality of food and service are glad there is no chain, as you can not bottle what they have here except the balsamic vingarette!! Hats off to Luigi for giving us the most delicious food in the Bensonhurst area.

Loud, busy, cheap, great food, nice bar, great service, packed, cash only. Been going here for years. I tend to get there at 6 because if you come later you have to wait an hour. All the grannies and families are here early. Then it's packed until 9:30 or so. In the summer the wait is easier. Henry's End benefits from the overflow but it's nowhere near as good and the service is indifferent. The heights is a picky place for restaurants and dozens of them have failed since I've lived here. This one marches on because they have the right combination of food, service and price.

I've lived in Park Slope for years, but haven't been to al di la because of the long waits. Recently, however, they started opening up for Tuesday nights. I guess most people don't know about it, because the wait for a table at 8 was really short (just a few minutes). Anyway, the food lived up to the hype. I really dug the shabby-chic ambiance. The staff was courteous and professional. I have been missing out. Can't wait to go back (even if I have to wait).

I go here about once a month with my husband and have never been disappointed. The food and atmosphere are both amazing. It is absolutely delicious and the ambiance is romantic and cozy. They only accept cash, which is a small drawback. They do have an ATM in the back, but I'd suggest getting cash from your bank before you come to avoid the ATM fee.

Fantastic handmade pasta and child friendly! The service was impeccable! We have been greeted and asked how everything was at least 10 times from beginning to end. They instantly brought wiki sticks for my girls to play while seating us. Based on this fact, super recommended for all families! Pear salad with goat cheese was lightly dressed and perfectly balanced. Seafood calamari was lightly breaded and so crispy and fresh. Mushroom pasta was flavorful and spicy seafood pasta was full of seafood. They brought in complementary cauliflower soup at the beginning and lemon type liquor at the end. They also have specials from 4 to 7 pm daily. We didn't have to wait on a Friday night. Our new best restaurant in Park Slope!

If god didn't create weekends, there would be no such thing as Sotto Voces brunch. Thats pretty much all there is to say. The food here is DIVINE and the prices are beyond reasonable. And when its ncie out you can sit outdoors, whats better than that?

A few years ago, my wife and I were lucky enough to spend a week in Naples and have true Neapolitan pizza, in neighborhood joints in the center of the old city. When we got back to Brooklyn we thought we'd never see the like again. And then Franny's opened up three blocks from our apartment -- bella Napoli right on Flatbush Avenue. The light, crispy crust is as close to the Neapolitan ideal as I've ever had outside of Naples itself. Our current favorite at Franny's comes with zucchini blossoms and anchovies, just like you'd get in the Spaccanapoli district. In addition, we usually have one or two of the light appetizers like squid or marinated eggplant, or one of the salumi. Maybe something from the extensive wine list, or finish with an amaro from the bar. We try to get there at opening time to avoid the rush, but the staff is always gracious no matter how busy things get. I realize that I should try to come up with some negative things to say, to make my review sound more ""balanced."" Okay, the tables are too close together. But even there, we've often had amusing conversations with strangers at adjacent tables, when each party eyed the other party's appetizers and wanted to compare notes. Not all restaurants have such a festive air about them.

The great thing about Bar Toto is that they are consistent. The menu is just large enough, but not too large. I have ordered everything on it, and I know what to expect every time. The menu doesn't change (except for specials, of course). There food is FABULOUS, by the way, and it reminds me of the food I have had when I've been in Italy. This is an authentic Italian restaurant and you can taste it (with some slight variations to keep the dumb Americans happy). The wine list is extensive. The bartender knows how to actually mix a drink. The beer is ice cold. And the best part is that the waitstaff is informed, kind, professional, and always helpful. I have gone many times for brunch, lunch, and dinner. I must say, my favorite time of day to eat here is at the lunch hour. With my kids in tow, I have had the best food, the finest service, and simply the most delightful times at this great restaurant.

I eat out a lot, 3-5 times a week, the food here is constantly good-great. It does get loud in there especally fri sat sun, 2 person tables can be small. This is hands down one of the best restaurants, the service is pretty good not great. The fish dishes are just ok, pasta is great, meats are great, shrimp is good. For the price you get a lot of food, it's very reasonably or cheap like 10-18 entree, it's an awesome place to eat, best Italian place in Brooklyn, food is always good. The best! Try it

I love this place. I have been a regular customer for years and Catherine and Francois are some of the most lovely, authentic people I have ever met. They both are highly skilled at what they do and it comes through in both the food and service. Great, true to its roots Northern Italian in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I have celebrated many a milestone here and look forward to many more. Highly recommended.

We just had dinner there. The food was delish, the pastas and the fish. The service was fine. It is a very pretty restaurant. They had a live cuban band and we danced. It wasn't so expensive, especially considering the fact that there was live entertainment. Highly recommended.

This is my favorite restaurant by far. I am happily eating my leftovers from last night's dinner at Michael's and I have to say this place is not overpriced at all for the quality and quantity of food you get there. I highly recommend the duck ravioli in duck ragu but this is not something that they have all the time. They also have a great pastry shop across the street so the desserts in the restaurant are fantastic.
