I worked womens retail as store manager and district manager for 20+ years, have since become stay at home mom. I typically don't step foot into stores, i get quickly frustrated with messy unorganized stores and when there not enough staff to handle lines at registers, i usually wool find a manager to ask to open a register but many times put my stuff down and leave so do most shopping on line... however i discovered this store about 5 years ago. The prices are incredible for top brands and styles they have. The store seems pretty well maintained and merchandised well to highlight new product. Yes at times, some of the team are not the nicest or helpful but I'm a shopper who will ask when i need assistance and they usually are very helpful. Not everyone going be on their A game all the time. And i have heard some pretty rude customers they have deal with. I like the store cause not crazy busy where i can take my time try on. There are few girls super nice one is a manager, always helps me...I had seen few negative reviews on here and rarely write one but wanted store get some credit for the things they do right. I was a fixer of underperforming stores so traveled all over, I'm from south originally so know lots different personalities on Brooklyn. Only constructive criticism i have is to open second register when line gets 3 or more and hard to get someone to come open a fitting room, but i usually find one open which im sure not best scenario from loss prevention standpoint. I've sent many friends there and even my friends from out state want to go there instead century!!

Marina Clothing Corp
I went to marina clothing after being recommended by Jovani, a company that makes the dress I was in search of. Of all the stores in Brooklyn that sell their brand they recommended Marina clothing ... That spoke an obvious message they are the best . My experience was as follows .... I was greeted by Anna the owners daughter who was as pleasant as she was beautiful ... Within a second we clicked she showed my mom , mother in law & granny an insane selection of gowns in many price points ... We worked & worked trying on all her suggestions & 1 dress outshines the other !! To make a long story short .. No Walks out with 2 gowns ( 1 for nephew bar mitvah ) & 1fir me wedding ... Granny & mother in law leave with a dress each & I purchased a cocktail dress for my going away dress .... This whole experience was easy pleasant & after checking prices also very reasonable & if I saw a $10 diff on a dress she said she would match the price .. To sum it up Marina clothing is the go to boutique for an enormous selection of tasteful elegance in evening wear !! Definitely would recommend them !!!

Moy Tung Kung Fu
With a desire to get into martial arts, I looked to find an art that would be useful for protection on the street as well as a great way to stay in shape. Another request was that it was a martial art I could practice for many years to come, that did not involve being thrown to the floor; my back being a bit sensitive. Wing Chun has taken care of both. Being a mature man I find the classes to be just what I was looking for. I breath deeper and my body is more connected to the ground. A feeling of relaxed solidness has come to me. My whole world (including my golf game) has been affected positively by my regular attendance. The teacher is a man of great skill and a warm heart, who has a passion to share his knowledge of Kung Fu with others. I am very grateful for the friendly welcome that I received. The school has moved to 67 West St. in Greenpoint and the phone number is 347-843-3963. Hope to see you in class. I'll be the guy smiling. Mike D

La Linda Hair Design
I have been going to La Linda's since last month. I went on the recommendation of two of my friends. Apparently, I wasn't in the loop about Linda! I wanted a full head of weave. Linda and her staff treated me very well on day 1, and I will continue giving them my business. They are professional and very courteous. They are under the tutelage of Linda, who knows her stuff! The salon, in my opinion, promotes and celebrates womanhood. In the truest sense of Black beauty salons, we talk about everything under the sun! There's tv to watch, music to listen to, and nice and decent people to converse with. My weave, one month later, is still in great shape. I can't stop singing her praises. I am happy to provide this small neighborhood business with my money...I live in Suffolk County and I STILL make the trek every two weeks into Brooklyn!

I was new to the neighborhood and was looking to change from my black color dye hair (done by myself) to an OMBRE with blonde ends...so I dedicated myself to go around some saloons askingfor it and to my surprise most of thdm even did not knew what I was talking about...and one day to my luck I found dominican beauty up in Liberty ave and the owner a very nice and excellent beauty professional knew right away what OMBRE was .,and what I was talking about .She's darling, so sweet and patient ... I was able to show her a few picture examples on my phone, and she exactly knew what to do.You will be in good hands with her and you won't be disappointed!

Old Navy
Hello please am sorry to bother you. I just turned 15 November 15th and I need a job. Am in the 11th grade and no one seems to ask those kinds of question. The legal age to be in the 11th grade is 16 going to 17 and I just turned 15. It's not right that I have to suffer because of my age. I am very mature. I get my work done the way I am told to. I am very good with computers and have many abilities. I even prepared a resume and a cover letter. Please I don't mean to waste your time but I need this job. I need to help my family out in any way that I can. My email is Noelinea@nycacademy.org Please take this into consideration

Bellagio Beauty Salon
I get my hair done at Bellagio and my experience here is always a good one. I am always greeted when I walk in and everyone is very polite. Paulina is my stylist and she is extremely nice and always makes my hair look fabulous! She definitely knows her stuff! I had the Keratin treatment done about a month ago and my hair is still smooth and shiny. It is also more manageable now since I originally have very curly hair. I definitely plan on going back and getting the treatment done again. Other than that she always takes her time when I get cuts and blowouts and she makes sure I leave happy. I would recommend her she's great!!

La Linda Hair Design
I had a wonderful time at Linda's Hair Design today. The place is warm, comfortable and welcoming. Linda has class and trains all her employees to show respect and work professionally. Linda takes the time to explain all the things she uses or is going to use on your hair. If she doesn't, all you have to do is ask her. They take their time, use great products and treat each and every customer with the respect and courtesy they deserve. Go treat yourself to a leisurely hairdo or treatment at La Linda Hair Design today.Armandine

La Linda Hair Design
I have been going to La Linda for four years. My experience at La Linda is absolutely exceptional, I was referred to La Linda by a dear friend of mine and ever since then I never looked back I'm talking about the treatment as a whole is always a top notch. Great professional staff that treats your hair with the very best care...and here's the kicker I save 45% on a sew-in every time, 45%, which means with money I save, I can afford to treat myself to a manicure and pedicure, how cool is that! Thanks La Linda. You rock.

Just a moment...
