Excellent customer service - Dennis and Michael are such friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful optometrists that helped me pick out frames that suited my style and face shape - they even took pics of me modeling each on their iPad so I could compare them.2. Thorough eye exams using the latest technology - no puffs in the eye and they even analyze the nerves around your eyes (mine are healthy - yay! :))3. Awesome variety of frames and very affordable!! They carry sharp frames for professionals, funky ones (e.g., Betsey Johnson) for the fashionista, Eco-friendly ones (141 Eyewear) that help a kid in need of glasses and an eye exam for every pair you buy, nickel-free frames for people like me - score!!, sporty ones (e.g., Nike) among others. Plus they might still have the 30% off sale going on for some frames.

Absolute Eyecare
I been going to ABSOLUTE EYE and using for about eight years. I go annually for my dilated eye exam and to get a new contact lens prescription. There really isn't a more organized or well-run place. You can make your annual exam for the following year before you even walk out the door. I like this service, because otherwise I certainly wouldn't remember. is the kindest and most dedicated of doctors. I never feel rushed although a full visit with screenings, lens fittings etc can take about two hours, so don't plan on being somewhere else right away

I wear glasses about one hundred percent of the time, and I lived too long with one taped and glued together pair. When I found out about D&G I was excited that I could afford to buy multiple pairs, but I was a bit leery, too. Could a store really make quality glasses that would work out and fit

Tips & Advices
To find a professional that fits your needs and wants, look for an optometrist with the proper licensing and compliance with state-specific legalities as well as these qualities: attentiveness, ability to listen, ethics, compassion, ability to communicate effectively and willingness to spend time with patients.
Vision, like dental, is often an additional voluntary cost for employers who provide health care coverage. As a result, it may not be included in basic company-sponsored insurance. Those who do have access to this type of coverage - or Medicare - often only pay for a portion of their eye exam services.
The cost of an appointment with an optometrist varies based on the services required. While a typical eye exam can range from $50 to $250, depending on location. If if glasses or contact lenses are prescribed, or tests are needed, the overall expense of an optometrist visit can increase.
The American Optometric Association recommended that patients have their first eye exam at six months of age, followed by another at 3 years old, and again at school age. At that point, Regular annual exams are recommended.
Ophthalmologists are eye doctors that have received higher levels of training than both opticians and optometrists, and can also perform eye surgery when necessary. Opticians design and fit eyeglasses, frames, and lenses that are prescribed by optometrists and ophthalmologists. They do not perform vision tests or write prescriptions for visual aids. Optometrists fall between ophthalmologists and opticians. Optometrists can detect and treat eye abnormalities, prescribe lenses, and complete eye exams, but cannot perform eye surgery.
