Best Friend Grooming
Hands down the worst grooming service I have ever been to and I have 3 dogs who need grooming regularly and been in many places in Brooklyn. They are the dirtiest. Wife is very rude and unprofessional. Cut fur in chunks. They have no idea how to brush dogs hair, just use cheap blades and the dog ends up looking horrible. PLEASE PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE BY ANY MEANS!!!

Posh Pets Grooming & Boarding
They did an excellent job on my yorkie for 4 years . I just can't believe they just packed up and left and did not even tell their dedicated customers. I actually cried when I found out they was closed.. I had been trying to make an apt for Christmas because she had her cut for thanksgiving but I was unable to reach them so I asked my husband to check to see what was going on and he told me they was closed... They was the best in my book miss them so much...

While I appreciate them taking my Pomeranian last minute and when they were closing, they cut a chunk of her ear off and didn't say a word about it!!! Absolutely disgusted and furious, no one go here!!

Vlada Dog Gromming
The owner was terrible. Told me I should go buy Angel eyes if I wanted my dog to have clean eyes. He hovered over me and screamed at me accusing me of putting on an act while my dog looked nothing like the photo we showed them. The groomer was sweet and tried to fix it. The place is very dirty and the owner is absolutely insane. Cash only too. Super shady

Billy & Tommy's Doggie Salon
HORRIBLE place to get your dog groomed. Omg. I brought my puppy there to get him properly groomed, when I got him back, he was shaved to the flesh I tell you. To the point where he got cut. Everytime I think abt it I get upset all over again. I should've have sued them or not pay them. He looked so ugly & skinny after. I didn't know my puppy was that skinny. Don't bring your puppy there people!

There is a new doctor that works there, his name is William Kudman and he really cares about animals. My dog got a surgery done by him and he was very caring and gullible towards my dog. Unlike other vet's that recommends surgery right away, he tried every step to avoid surgery. He was very carrying & treated my dog like it was his own. I don't make a lot of recommendations but I couldn't overlooked how good of a doctor and person he was. Every time I had a question, he would pick up the phone and give me advise to soothe my dog's uncomfortability.I really recommend this doctor if you love your pet.
Tips & Advices
Many people fear that their pet will be injured at the groomer, but incidents of serious injury are infrequent. For minor injuries , it is appropriate the groomer pay the vet bill, and can usually be worked out between groomer and owner. For moderate to severe injuries, you can attempt to activate groomer’s liability insurance to cover medical expenses. However, be aware that most groomer contracts stipulate that the business does not assume responsibility.
Staff at groomers know that there is inherent risk when handling animals, and they are familiar with being snapped at or bitten. However, it is not a normal occurrence or something you should ignore. Many people choose to cover medical expenses or pay extra--at minimum, apologize and get the dog into behavior classes. It is a given that  you should sedate or muzzle the animal for all future grooming sessions.
It is always recommended to make an appointment to get your pet groomed. While some groomers, especially in the larger pet stores, can accommodate with short notice, popular neighborhood groomers are often booked out two weeks out or longer on weekends.
If your pet has sensitive skin, let the groomer know when you set the appointment. But be aware, all dogs have sensitive skin by human standards--their skin is much thinner. Therefore, you should be on the lookout for signs of sensitivity, and reduce it through regular grooming with gentle, natural shampoo and conditioner. Oatmeal shampoo is a favorite. Daily brushouts and omega oil supplements are recommended for every day at-home care.
For various reasons including insurance clauses and pet-owner relationship dynamics and behaviors, groomers prefer owners don’t stay with their pets while being groomed.
