Highlawn Moving & Storage Inc
Our 82 and 73 years old parents gave 10 for their recent move from Rego Park, NY to San Jose, CA. Being elders, they were extremely anxious with this process. They've not moved for more than 30 years and this is the first time moving out of New York. But Mark and his friendly staff really made this cross country move easy for them. A special thanks goes to the 3 young men who handled the move so carefully. They were patient and attentive with the details of the job. Even though it was not a big move, everything arrived to San Jose within the 4-5 day window as promised. This really made them happy. In turn, made our lives much easier since both my brother and our family live on the West Coast. We had a positive experience with both the long distance coordination and the move and just wanted to share our family's appreciation for the great services received. The staff were sensitive to our parents needs and the movers worked diligently to ensure every stage of the move was smooth. They really added a personal touch to make our parents feel special and at ease during this entire process. This was really important to them and probably would be their last move. We would surely use/refer them in the future.

Highlawn Moving & Storage Inc
We have recently moved from New York, NY to Davie, FL and since we've used Highlawn Moving 3 years ago for a local move in Manhattan and were very happy, we decided to use them again for our Florida move. We have quite a few items that we were concerned with especially our grandfather's glass curio and his heavy framed paintings. The guys that came on pickup were very efficient wrapping all of our furniture and as we saw them loading it into the truck we felt more at ease looking at the items nicely stacked. A week later another crew showed up in Davie for the delivery and everything was delivered. In total our move went very smooth and I would surly recommend this company

Highlawn Moving & Storage Inc
This is my second time moving with this company.I had a smaller move two years ago moving locally from Brooklyn to upper Manhattan in which the friendly staff and axcelent service brought me back. This time moving from Manhattan to Boca Raton FL.We have a two bed rooms moderately furnished apartment and just a few fragile items. The crew that came was quick and efficient, items were well wrapped and protected the delivery in Florida was done in a timely manner. One chair was scratched a bit on the bottom foot but the company took the responsibility to correct the issue. Ones again I was very satisfied and I would definitely recommend Highlawn Moving.

Safeguard Self Storage
I had to find storage and was experiencing a difficult time. I walked into this facility and was greeted by Kendra Patrick, she was both very helpful and kind. I rarely write reveiews but I was so pleased with my experience there I think both Kendra and this facility deserve the review. Thank you again for your help!
Tips & Advices
Many storage unit companies provide moving equipment that you can use to help maneuver your belongings. This equipment might be available for rental, and some storage companies will loan certain items to you at no charge. The range of options can include items such as push carts and dollies.
Storage units allow vehicle storage, and you'll typically need to rent an outdoor unit to facilitate this process. An outdoor storage unit that accommodates vehicles may have its own walls and door, or it may be a covered unit that's partitioned with wire mesh. Another option is to rent covered storage for your vehicle. With covered storage, your vehicle is stored in a space that is shared with other vehicles. These spaces are similar to parking spaces in a secure lot.
There are certain differences that separate indoor and outdoor storage units. Indoor storage units are often housed in secure facilities, and they offer perks such as climate control. These units are the best choice for sensitive and valuable items, since they offer protection from pests, weather, and intruders. Outdoor storage units are usually much larger than indoor units, and they often offer drive-up access to each unit. Outdoor storage units are excellent for storing larger items such as furniture, boats, and cars.
Storage unit rental fees do not include property insurance for stored items. Storage facilities are typically protected by insurance, but this coverage only applies to the building itself, and not the contents of the storage units. Your homeowners insurance might provide coverage for your stored items. Storage insurance is also available, and premiums typically start at roughly $7 per month for $1,000 worth of coverage.
The minimum rental period for most storage units is one month. Some storage facilities offer promotions and discounts that require a longer minimum rental period for discounts to be redeemed. For example, a storage facility might offer the first month of rental free with a two-month minimum.
