Gun Hill Muffler
I was in need of a muffler repair on my 2015 VW GTI, that was initially improperly install since a factory muffler hanger was eliminated. After suffering a Thanksgiving eve late night elevated sewer-to-muffler accident, I was in dire need for muffler servicing. So i found a muffler shop who with every syllable they spoke their quoted price increased. Sufficed to say i left that shop with no intent on returning. While driving home i noticed Gun Hill Muffler in passing and decided to stop in and entertain a quote. First, the service man did not hesitate to offer a free diagnosis of my situation. Second, they quoted me a fraction of what the other shop had initially quoted. Third, they performed more services than initially agreed upon at no added cost (who does that?).Lastly, (this should have been first however relationships take time to build) I truly felt as if I was their long lost beloved cousin whom they missed dearly. It's really difficult to put into words the level of confidence and comfort that was instilled in me by this shop. If that was not enough the owner/manager Victor added 33.3% discount to the service. I am truly won over. They will have my business for as long as i own a vehicle. They allowed me a greater reason to be grateful! Definitely will recommend this shop to all my friends and family!

Hi Miles Transmission
I like Joe. He has 40 years experience in Auto Repair business. I feel comfortable to bring my car to him whenever it has a problem. One time, I was out of the town, I had to take my car to somewhere else. They told me that it was a transmission problem and they were going to charge me $5000 for that . I was shocked and told Joe about it. He towed my car into his shop and found out that the problem was just because someone put windshield washing fluid into radiator and damaged the temperature sensor which gave transmission no signal that caused a malfunction. Wala!!! Thank God that JOE saved me tons of money. I feel safe to bring my car to him all the time. You should do this too.

Love the service and will come back here if I ever need anymore body work done. I HIGHLY recommend them! A+

National Discount Tires & Wheels
This place is a little hard to find, but guaranteed worth the effort. Don't go too fast, or you might drive right by it if you are heading south on White plains road. Their prices for tires and wheels are some of the best I've come across. It's a one-stop shop for everything you need when it comes to your car's tires, wheels and suspension. Highly recommended.

West Farms Welding & Mach Co Inc
This is the only place I would ever bring my vehicle to be fixed. The owner and operator Mike is the most courteous and knowledgeable mechanic I've ever met and would not try to sell you something you don't need. It's truly worth the ride into the bronx... Oh, it would help if you bring some Doughnuts......LOL

New England Auto Center
If a car comes in for an inspection, it gets done according TO D.M.V. regulations! If your car is safe and passes, it will! If not, it wont! If a person feels we done an inspection wrong, or their tires were good, you have the option of going to the D.M.V. and have them look at it,...just saying!

Tips & Advices
Yes. New tires purchased online can often be priced lower than ones at a tire dealership. Buyers can often avoid state sales taxes and locate hard-to-find tire styles and sizes, but will still have to locate a local tire installer and pay sometimes high shipping costs.
The average cost of a set of new tires is $637, with a range of between $525-$725. In addition, installation includes mounting and balancing, alignment, and disposal of old tires.
The vehicle is raised and the old wheels are removed, then the old tires are removed from the wheels. The lug nuts, wheels, and valve stems are inspected and replaced as needed. The new tires are mounted and sealed, then inflated and balanced. The wheels are then replaced on the car. The average installation takes approximately 45 minutes.
Agencies such as the Tire Industry Association promotes tire safety through advocacy and education to the industry including: manufacture, sales, repair, service and recycling. Seek a full-service tire dealer who carries a wide variety of tire types and brands and asks about the type of driving you normally do.
  • Move your car to a safe location.
  • Turn on your car’s safety lights, apply the parking brakes and remove the hubcap if there is one.
  • Loosen the lug nuts with a lug wrench (but do not remove them), raise the vehicle with a jack and then fully remove the lugnuts.
  • Remove the flat tire and replace it with the spare tire.
  • Tighten the lug nuts by hand, lower the car and then tighten them fully with the lug wrench.

Just a moment...
