Comporium
The service Comporium over charges for is as low as gets in terms of quality, reliability and speed yet their prices are off the charts compared to communities where they have to compete. It's obvious that Comporium takes full advantage of their monopoly here because they offer VERY different prices in markets where they have competition. Check out their price plans in other areas. In Brevard we pay $74.95 for (up to) 11 Mbps and and rarely ever get it. Why is it legal, let alone honorable, to charge $74.95 for 11 Mbps in a locale that has virtually NO competition then offer speeds of 300 Mbps for under $60 in areas that DO have competition. In another area Comporium offers 60 Mbps fiber optic internet service for $34.95. Why is this not criminal? Why doesn't the county council stand up for their citizens who are being held hostage or recognize the negative business climate that having an internet service run by a robber baron monopoly has on our local economy and business prospects.

Verizon Wireless
Buyer Beware! This is not a Verizon Store. They are a reseller of Verizon contracts and they sell their phones at up to 30% higher than true Verizon Stores. That is acceptable, but what is not is the young lady that helps us lied when she said that the phones were exactly the same price...not true! She also told my son that they did not have the 64MB Samsung S6 and when we suggested we should go to the Verizon store in Arden...she said no one carries them in stock. Again, not true Verizon-Arden has several of them. Finally, i was sent an email from Verizon offering me a $200 trade-in on my iPhone 5 which she said she would honor. At the end of the transaction, she said i would receive an email from Verizon giving me instructions on how to send back the iPnone for credit. When I got the email and entered my information, they onlty offered $110.00. So my visit to the FAKE Verizon store in Brevard cost me an additional $250. When I called and asked why I was lied to, Ashley told me that I had signed a contract and that there was nothing that could be done! I hope your commission was worth it!

Just a moment...
