Skinner Michael A DDS
I really don't know where to start...My main goal was to smile again. When I was young I had a dentist, well let's just say I never went back. Recently I noticed I was having a lot of problems with my teeth. A dentist recommended I see Dr. Michael Skinner. Best recommendation I ever got. From the moment I stepped in the door and was greeted by lovely Tori, I knew I made a great choice. Everyone is so pleasant. Then I got to meet Dr. Skinner and his Assistant Kathy. WHAT A TEAM! Dr. Skinner could see how nervous I was and instantly put me at ease. Great Smile and Funny. Relaxed me. Kathy made me feel comfortable (gave me a comfy blanket). They explained everything in detail to me so I had no surprises and answered all my questions. I knew I was on my way to my smile again. Then last but not least you get to meet Cheryl. What a pleasant woman. Very knowledgeable and always there to answer any concerns I may of had once I left the office. She knows her stuff. This office just flows so well together because they all have fantastic personalities. They truly care. Visit their website and see all the different procedures they do to make you smile again. No more embarrassment. Thank you Tori, Dr. Skinner, Kathy and Cheryl. If I missed anyone it's just because I haven't met you yet and I'm sure I will. Sincerely, Diane Whitfield

Novare Dental PLLC
I had used my same dentist for 16 years with no complaints but since moving, found the 30 mile drive back for cleanings didn't fit into my busy schedule. I went for my first visit with Dr, Renfroein May and was sold! From the time you walk into the office until the time you leave you feel like you are the only patient. I truly have NEVER had such a complete cleaning and was so pleased, that I have moved my entire family to this practice. My daughter just left from her first visit with Dr. Renfroe and he told me things about her teeth that her previous dentist of 14 years had never mentioned. She also felt like she had just received the best cleaning of her life. I love that unlike other offices you do not feel presured into unneccessary proceedures. Give them a try and I promise you will NOT be disappointed! Thanks, Sheryl J.

Dr. Renfroe is an exceptional dentist! I took my brother (who has Down's Syndrome) to Novare Dental and Dr. Renfroe went over and beyond the call of duty to ensure that my brother felt comfortable and unafraid (it also helped that each exam room had a TV, because that is my brother's favorite pastime). As a matter of fact, after the appointment was over, he wanted to know when he could come back! How many people are actually that eager to go to the dentist? In my opinion, that explains it all! Dr. Renfroe is the best!!

Endodontic Associates
Had my first root canal recently, and I really don't understand what all the fuss is about. Or maybe it was just the great experience I had at Endodontic Associates under the care of Dr. Faucette. The root canal was done in less than an hour and when I had a question about how it was healing a week later, I got a call back within an hour from the doctor himself. If you don't have dental insurance, you get a discount for paying on the spot.

Brentwood Dental Specialists
My children have been patients of both Dr. Alex and Dr. Robert and I couldn't be happier. The office and clinical staff are always courteous, professional and helpful. I have had bad experiences at other offices that specialize in pediatric dentistry, and am so happy to have found a place that my children actually look forward to going to!

Dennis K Roman DMD
Dr. Roman in Brentwood is the best dentist I have ever visited. He is extremely knowledgeable, but also never tries to talk you into unneeded services. I still go to him even though I changed jobs and his office is no longer the most convenient for me.

The folks at the office of Dr. Poss worked with me and listened to my concerns and my needs to help me minimize headaches from TMJ. They are professional and great to work with. I recommend them for everything from basic cleanings, to cosmetic, to TMJ.

Great dental care and a great team of people. The office is great and up to date with tvs in every exam room. The all-woman team is very friendly and always remembers patients. They are great about reminders and rescheduling when necessary.

Tips & Advices
  • If a tooth decays and the nerves or pulp (soft internal tissue which helps teeth develop) become inflamed or infected
  • If a tooth is cracked or broken and nerves are exposed
This generally depends on any specific issues you wish to address with your teeth. There are toothpastes designed to whiten teeth, fight cavities, decrease sensitivity, prevent bad breath, resist gingivitis, and those specific to children (with lower fluoride content). There are also toothpastes that offer “complete” protection by combining aspects of many of the above toothpastes.
It’s recommended to get a professional cleaning at least two times per year.
  • Desensitizing toothpaste numbs the nerves in the teeth that can cause discomfort.
  • Mouth guard can protect against grinding teeth during sleep.
  • Fluoride treatment can be applied by dentists to sensitive areas to numb teeth and strengthen enamel.
  • Root canal can treat problems in a tooth’s core.
  • Surgical gum graft where a piece of gum tissue is removed from a section of the mouth to cover an exposed root.
Not everyone needs to have their wisdom teeth removed, but there are certain signs that can help you and your doctor determine if yours should be:
  • Wisdom teeth are pushing other teeth around, causing pain and misalignment
  • Cysts form around newly emerged wisdom teeth, causing jaw damage
  • Gums get inflamed and swollen, causing cavities and pain
  • Doctor determine from x-rays that wisdom teeth will cause problems in the near future

Just a moment...
