Brandon Automotive Repair & Detail Services Inc
Business Response from BrandonOnce again these comments are from Michele (dontcheatme)(elpingu) You really have a lot of time on your hands to change the story so many times! The business is still a success! We have repeat customers each and everyday! We NEVER ripped you off cause at that point you "WAS" a friend, a friend looking for free work. We NEVER charged you a diagnostic fee cause we do FREE diagnostic testing! I'm really sorry to see that money is an issue for you but you can not expect people to work for peanuts not even your friends especially if you only come around when you need something. To everyone else reading these comments we have great references. All the negative comments that are posted in other blogs are all from this same individual. As to Michele nothing in life is free nor is it easy. You can continue to try and brake our business but you will never succeed. We continue to build clientele and build great relationships with all our customers. Thank you all for ready! Brandon Automotive Repair & Detail Services

Autoworks of Brandon
I did not have a great experience here. I read all the reviews around online and they seemed to be positive. That was not the case. They heavily rely on the car to throw a code for their diagnostic machine to read. They scratch their head when no code is thrown. Basically, they had to replace parts until they think its fixed. Not enough updates are provided and you have to call them to get any update. In my case I still had issues with the drive-ability of my car and was told there would be more money involved after spending $800 for repairs that might work. I passed, paid and left never to return. I do not recommend them. For $99 an hour for labor you might as well go to your cars manufacturer servicing department.

Brandon Repair Shop Incorporated
My brand new car was rear ended and I took it into Manny @ Brandon Repair becuase I know they have been in business a long time. I trusted the repair would be fine, but I was worried about color matching the paint since it is a unique color of red. I am thrilled that they got it so perfect you would have no idea anything happened. Service was fast and firendly and I feel like being a small shop they care about every customer here. I think the bad reviews must have this place confused with another. This place is known for good service and doesn't have to advertise because of the good word of mouth they get locally.

Wolf Towing Corp.
Need a tow? Call this guy. He is professional, friendly, and actually cares about the people he provides his services to. I was having battery/power problems when I called for a tow. He could've taken my car to the shop where I would have been charged more money to get it checked out, but he did some basic troubleshooting first and ended up fixing it without even needing to tow it! I'd definitely recommend Wolf Towing as first choice for anyone in the Brandon area.

Lively's Automotive
Let me start by saying I have spend THOUSANDS here recently. All of it being hundreds cheaper then other shops. BUT if your vehicle requires a little more time then they quoted dale will get an attitude with you and threaten to stop working on your car. Broken or not. Gary is the best thing they got going for this shop I refuse to even speak to the childish owner anymore. I recommend this place still, but DO NOT SPEAK or WORK WITH DALE!!!!

MOBILE MECHANIC JUSTIN 2 AUTO
I was about 250 miles from home and my truck broke down, I called my roadside assistance and they couldn't help. After about 3 hours I called him and he showed up immediately! True professional, showed up in a suit and tie! He got his tools out and put on a jump suit and got to work. Within 20 mins I was on my way again. If I'm ever stranded in the area again I will call him for sure. FYI he likes those chilled coffee mocha drinks

Tips & Advices
Salvage yards will have different policies regarding warranties, but, in most instances, the parts you find will be covered. Some salvage yards will offer warranties of anywhere from 90 days to six months, and may even offer the option for extended coverage.
After you've successfully found a part or multiple components, take everything up to the clerk. Inform them of what you have and pay. Avoid lying about what you have as a way to pay less. You will potentially be banned if you're found lying. You-pick salvage yards will display the prices for categories of parts. Prices may fluctuate depending on the demand. Harder-to-find items could carry a higher price tag than a brand-new one. If you are salvaging for auto parts, you might see items that are difficult to find and be able to sell them for a profit. Doing so can offset the cost of the price you're paying for the parts you personally need.
It is in your interest to call the salvage yard before arriving to see if they sell smaller components individually, because some yards do not. Some owners choose to not sell small components for financial reasons.  If salvage lots come across a door without the handle, they will have to pay extra to get the handle and attach it to the entire assembly. It is therefore cost-effective for salvage lots to sell entire assemblies.
When rummaging through a car or walking around the lot, stay aware of your surroundings. Remember, you aren't the only visitor looking to salvage parts. Other individuals are also looking for components, and not everyone works as safely as possible. If you find a car you'd like to inspect, make sure working conditions are suitable, and if anything looks suspicious or dangerous, find a safer vehicle to tear apart.
