Bar Is Open Until 12:30am Although a new addition to the neighborhood, Massimo and his aspirations are anything but. Ideas have been in the making since his early days as the bread boy at the late Scalinatella restaurant; ironically at the same locale that this venture begins today. To further add to the synchronicity, Massimo?s baptism reception was also held in the same spot some 30 years ago at the old ?il sole? restaurant. And just to lock in the sentimental value of its already rich history, Massimo?s new restaurant is named after his beautiful baby daughter, Aria Rose. Staying close to his roots, Massimo also worked two doors down as the general manager at Tresca for seven years. There he attained valuable knowledge and experience about the industry and the neighborhood. He is grateful for the Tresca team and will always remember the opportunity he was given to manage one of the North Ends finest establishments. Well known and well liked by locals and the Boston community, he has undoubtedly proven himself as a professional and as a friend. His enthusiasm for the industry dates back to his own childhood. As a young boy he watched as his mother cooked Italian feasts for family and friends; pulling at her apron strings just to have a taste of the freshness that lingered above him. There was always ?just enough? thanks to his father who never stopped working to ensure his family was well provided for. Thus, with a strong work ethic instilled from a young age and his love of family food and culture, Massimo is more than ready to share his passions with the world. In his much anticipated debut, Aria will combine old world Italian with a modern twist, making sure to appeal to many audiences. As many will attest, Massimo?s palette is anything but mundane. Having sampled some of the world?s best restaurants and venues, he will be sure to provide his clients with a variety of tastes, smells and visually appealing creations. From ambience, to food selections, to plain old business, he never ceases to amaze those around him. Let him do the same for you! Please join the Tiberi family and experience a dream come true in the making.

This is not your typical italian food. If you are sick of chicken and pasta at the florentine - this is the place you are looking for. It is absolute perfection if you are looking for a romantic evening. But.. Friday or Saturday night is really busy and this place is really small. I have dined here over thirty times and it is a complete different restaurant on fri/sat. It turns into a madhouse and the beautiful and romantic decor turns a little sour with the line of people waiting at the door staring you down so they can get in. On any other night, any lady would melt to get the ""window seat."" \r \r The fare is ""american"" italian food with a slight middle eastern twist. What I mean by this is generally italian food in america is a little different (more bland) than true italian food. Eating at Rabia's really takes me back to my visit in Naples ... This is my favorite numero uno restaurant in all of Boston - hands down.

Yesterday marked me and my girlfriend's third trip to Euno. Each and every time we have experienced nothing less than exceptional service. The food has been consistent and tasty. The potato gnocchi is excellent along with any of their chicken dishes. We made reservations for 8pm on a Saturday night and did not have to wait at all. The place was busy though, and I would highly recommend making reservations ahead of time.

We first came August of 2007 -recommended by one of my co-workers. My husband and I loved it! The food, especially the seafood, is fresh and mouth watering. We came to Plymouth this past weekend (8/14/09) and had to drive here for dinner. We could not pass it up! As usual the Zuppa di pesce for two with the wine was out of this world! We'll be back!

Massimino's is me and my wife's favorite place in the North End. After trying most of the Italian spots on Hanover, we haven't found anything as good as this place. They treat you like family from the moment you walk through the door and make you feel at home. It's one of the best atmospheres if you're looking for a quaint, cozy place enjoying outstanding cuisine. The portions are bigger than most and typically costs less than the others. I highly encourage anybody looking to stray off the beaten path to try Massimino's...as we will continue to drink and dine with them!!!

Bacco is a great spot with amazing food and cocktails. I love the open air feel now that the weather is getting warmer. I have stopped in many times for the $5 appetizers after work and I have never been disappointed. The restaurant has that north end appeal with a staff that is very attentive & courteous. I don't usually write reviews but I feel that Bacco deserved one. Also I've been going to Bacco since I moved to Boston 4 years ago and they just came out with a new cocktail list that I suggest taking a look at.

I first discovered Taranta by word of mouth through my girlfriend. I decided to splurge and take my boyfriend there, when he came to visit me for the weekend. We went on a random Thursday night. The restaurant itself was rustic and romantic and really created ""the mood"". The menu looked amazing and after much debate, we decided on the mussels to start. Words cannot describe how amazing these mussels were......simple heaven. The mussels swam in an amazing balsamic reduction sauce that was even enjoyed more when soaked up with their home made rustic bread. We were very happy with our experience so far...and then it started to go down hill. Not in terms of the quality of the food, our main dishes were fantastic. But the service was beyond slow. After the mussels we wanted another round a drinks, and had to wait 15 min to order them, and then another 20 minutes to actually get the drinks....our food took about 45 min to come out and we weren't ""checked on"" once by our server. Again, the food was amazing, but the experience was ruined by the fact it took forever.\r \r I then wrote into the restaurant to let them know my thoughts of the day. The ower actually called me, and then sent me a $250 gift card to make up for the poor experience. I then went back a few months later and was so happy that things were much faster.......the food, of course was still delicious.\r \r

My first trip to Boston was quite challenging as I attempted to navigate the Boston ""attitude."" I went to a restaurant close to Davio's (will remain nameless) and had a bad experience with the host who appeared to not want to seat me and my co-worker. We walked over to Dovico's and was greeted very warmly. The service was top notch, wine was great, water glass never went empty, and the food was superb. I ordered the scallops and my co-worker ordered a steak. His steak was cooked perfectly and my scallops were as well. The dessert was AWESOME! If I ever visit Boston again, it will be my FIRST stop!!!

I ate dinner here for the first time a few weeks ago and had a lovely experience. The space is wonderful- very European, brick walls, candles. We were seated at a table by the open window, so we could watch the world go by as we talked and ate. They even brought us complimentary glasses of prosecco as soon as we were seated- very welcoming. We had a *delicious* bruschetta to start: toasts with parmesan and arugula and the freshest tomatoes and artichoke hearts in a light vinaigrette. As entrees, my friend had a baked pasta dish in a tomato sauce (excellent), and I had black linguine (ink? I can't remember what sort of pasta) with scallops and a light cream sauce. Delicious! The wine list is pricey, but the house chianti is wonderful and more affordable. The staff were great and I will definitely return.

My only complaint is that they aren't open when I could come on my own or with friends/family!\r I love this place-- great atmosphere, great staff, great food, and all at VERY reasonable prices! Even the portions are on the larger side, adding extra value to your purchase.

Ate here last weekend and almost fell asleep in my chair after eating the gnocci. It's literally that tasty that you feel like you're at home on your couch afterwards, just hanging out and relaxing. The pizza is unbelievable too. The setting was awesome, kind of like rustic italy and the north end had a baby. Totally awesome north end spot to check out. It's on Salem too so you're not sitting on top of eachother like Hanover St. restaurants.

My husband and I can always count on Pagliuca's for a good meal with some authentic wine choices. We have tried many places in Boston's North End, but we always end up coming back to Pagliuca's to fill the good homestyle Italian void. I recommend making a reservation (even then you may have to wait a little bit, but it is worth it).

Just steps from Fenway Park is A GEM OF A PLACE! Canestaro, I have loved it for years, but am surprised that some people still haven't discovered it. It's just around the corner from Fenway Park on Peterborough St (where Park Drive starts). They have a nice dining room, small bar & a great outdoor patio, plus a parking lot in the back. The food is wonderful -- great pastas and, I would say, the best Pizza in Boston. Ingredients are very fresh, sauces are homemade -- try the spinach gnocchi in tomato basil cream sauce -- it is to die for!
326 Hanover St
Awesome food and service and to top it off, it was more affordable than most of the other restaurants in the North End. The name has changed, but thankfully the food is even better than ever. Glad we gave it a shot! The only downfall is that they don't have valet parking and if you are driving in from out of town, the closest garage is on the corner of Prince and Commercial Street.

I went to the North End for the St Anthony Feast. After walking around, I decided to try this little cute restaurant. The food and the service was excellent. I did have the Ravioli with mushrooms and chicken in a white sauce.....Delicious!!.. \r My cousin's food was also excellent.

So I went to Bricco for the first time on Wednesday evening. It was a party of 20; business type dinner. I had been to my fair share of North End restaurants and some were great, some good, and others were not for me. This one is my new favorite. The staff was courteous. The service was crisp and swift. The food was excellent. Granted, it's always about picking the right meal. Anyway, our waitress, Kate, was the one who actually picked our appetizers for us. We got some traditional faves such as Prosciutto and Caprese. No way to screw that up. But the kicker was these other two: Octopus and Zucchini flowers. I especially loved the ricotta-tempura. It was awesome. We had a nice red ordered by the head poobah at the table. I'm not much of a wine critic, so I'll leave it to the experts. But the dish I ordered, Bricco's Brodetto. Let's just say I was full and wanted another one. I can't wait to go back. I loved the atmosphere, the layout, the food, the staff. I even killed about 15 minutes of the manager's, Nick, time gushing over his restaurant. Some things just have to be said.

After reading the reviews from citysearch I tried this place. I had walked by it a million times. I am so glad I finally went in. This is a great place. The food is so fresh and good. I tried the soup special and was blown away. Yes, the cheeseburgers are the best. I left with change in my pocket, very reasonable. I will be back.

We used to go to Amici years back when they were open and were very disappointed when they closed. Two weeks ago we were so happy to see the sign on the building stating they were open again. So we immediately tried it that Saturday night. Well it was just as delicious as it was back then. My husband had the veal romano which is in a pink sauce. He had almost two baskets of bread to soak up all the juice. He said he wanted to drink it. It was outstanding. I got the stuff pork chop special that was to die for as well. Our other two friends were so glad that we introduced them to this restaurant. The service was just as good as the food. It truly is a family run rest. Mother and two daughters were there and they made us feel as if we were part of the family. They even remembered us from when we used to go there. We will definetly go back. It is also very good that they are off the beaten track of hanover and salem street. It definetly is a hidden jewel. So glad you have reopened!!

This place has a fabulous neighborhood feel - great for a night out with large group of friends, Sunday afternoon lunch/dinner with parents or out-of-towners, they were even accomodating to our fussy 8-week old. It's great to have a pub-type place with above average, more-interesting-than-pub-grub food. The portions are enormous, everything is fresh, hot and absolutely delicious from your basic meatball sub or chicken parm to creative polenta dishes - oh and did I mention the calzones are the best I've had possibly ever even in all my years growinng up in Brooklyn, NY. Cant say enough good things about Anchovies - Almost don't want too many people to know about it!
30.Meridian Food Market
121 Meridian St
better than anyplace in North End. Meridian Market has by far the best Italian sub around with the correct proportions of meat /bread/seasonings/cheese/toppings. Get the mini-aranccini (rice ball) if they have them or the big ones. I also love the chicken parm. Great salads and pizza too. Easy to find right near maverick station, so straight down meridian st. on the right hand side of the street.
