I had a crown installed by Dr. Zavaro. I have to admit when I broke my tooth I was very nervous when I went to Dr. Zavaro's office. Although I had many regular visits before to Dr. Zavaro's office, but this time I was dreading to have a serious work and to have to spend a lot of time at the Dentist. Dr. Zavaro took me in quickly and made me feel very comfortable. He sat down and explained to me all my options in great details and he was extremely receptive to my questions. He was very professional in his explanations but always made me feel that I was in charge of any decision. When the decision was made, he completed all his work in one session and told me he would call me when the crown is ready. Last Friday I had to visit his office to get the crown installed. I deliberately took the last appointment at 5:30 PM because I had to drive from Upstate New York where I work to his office in Boston. Although I left on good time to make it to the appointment but I was running late because of Friday traffic. I called his office to let them know that I could be 30 minutes late to the appointment and I proposed to the receptionist to reschedule the appointment. She immediately replied that Dr. Zavaro does not mind to wait for me, and she told me to drive carefully and not to rush. Finally I made it to his office about 45 minutes late. Needless to say, I was very apologetic, but he was very receptive and understanding. He told me there was no need for apology. He took his time and carefully installed the crown. He kept talking to me and asking me how I feel about the crown and if I had any slight discomfort; until he was sure that I was OK.Dr. Zavaro is genuine, highly professional, and very caring to his patients. He did waste 45 minutes of his time waiting for me last Friday evening to show up at his office. I felt that I can spend few minutes on the computer to let everybody know how wonderful Dr. Zavaro is.

I came to Dr. Zavaro a few years ago after having had some bad dental treatment done at another office. Dr. Zavaro did a bone graft and an implant for me. He also helped me find an excellent orthodontist (I was previously being seen by someone but was very unhappy with the treatment). The implant that he did for me was one of my upper front teeth. He informed me that this is one of the most difficult places to have an implant done- there is limited bone to hold the implant and the final restoration has to be aesthetically pleasing. I am usually very nervous with dental treatment, but Dr. Zavaro and his assistant were extremely patient with me. Dr. Zavaro never did any procedure without fully explaining everything and answering all my questions. When it was time to have the final tooth cemented, Dr. Zavaro was extra careful to help me choose the correct shade for the tooth. With a front tooth, this can be VERY difficult. Before cementing, he made sure I was 100% comfortable with it. He was very willing to do anything differently if I asked. Since having the implant completed, I cannot count how many compliments I have gotten on my smile. I would STRONGLY recommend choosing to see Dr. Zavaro if you are looking for a dentist. I would not trust any other dentist with my care.

Dental Arts of Boston
I had been going to the same family Dentist for my entire life, name need not be mentioned. My major issue is my front teeth. I had cracked one when I was younger horsing around and since that time probably had it fixed about seven or eight times. The tooth just kept cracking over and over again. I remeber on time it happened a week after I got it fixed. It was time for a change so I called Dental Arts of Boston. Dr. Stevens got me in fairly quickly, the fixed and bonded my tooth so that i no longer looked like Dave Letterman and it hasn't happened again since. It's been four years. Thank you Dental Arts of Boston.

I love this office. I have been seeing Dr. Stevens now for about 15 years! This office is friendly, accomodating and great work. Dr. Stevens comes from a family of dentists and is able to do anything (to the point if he wants to send me to a specialist - I refuse and have him do it himself) I have referred friends who agree and we laugh as we can't believe that we think it is "fun" to go to the dentist. You will not be disappointed in service that is provided by him and his staff, your experience and the quality of the work that is done. Additionally, he stands by his work. You will never be disappointed!!!!

I always get great service from the front desk and the ever one including the dentist. I am usually nervous about going to a dentist but I always feel at ease when I'm getting my yearly cleaning or check up when I have a tooth ache. I never thought I would like going to have a doctor look into my mouth after having a bad experience when I was 9 years old at Children's Hospital in Boston. Thanks Dr. Dental for helping me out.

I required a fairly complex procedure that spanned over several hours.Dr. Chally and the whole team did an excellent job - both in focusing on the details to provide the best quality dental care and in paying maximum attention to my comfort throughout the procedure.I especially appreciated how Dr. Chally explained every step of the procedure to me as she worked.

They are awesome. They are very professional and gentle. Dr Page is an expert at making the most painful experience as painless as possible. I just had a crown overlay and it was a pretty painful procedure because of my personal history. He made sure I was as comfortable as possible, checking in with me multiple times to make sure I was doing okay.

Feldman, Janna
Dr. Feldman was incredible! She was so friendly, professional, and really made be feel comfortable in the chair (I am normally anxious about going to the dentist). It was such a great change from what I was used to. I came in with a chipped front tooth and she made it look even better than it was before! I would highly recommend her to anyone.

The experience was awesome. Dr Chally was so kind and friendly. She went to great lengths to be sure she confirmed that my tooth needed a crown. She is honest and authentic and offers other services but did not pressure me to purchase them. I was given the costs of the services(before) so I could decide if I could afford them.
Tips & Advices
  • If a tooth decays and the nerves or pulp (soft internal tissue which helps teeth develop) become inflamed or infected
  • If a tooth is cracked or broken and nerves are exposed
This generally depends on any specific issues you wish to address with your teeth. There are toothpastes designed to whiten teeth, fight cavities, decrease sensitivity, prevent bad breath, resist gingivitis, and those specific to children (with lower fluoride content). There are also toothpastes that offer “complete” protection by combining aspects of many of the above toothpastes.
It’s recommended to get a professional cleaning at least two times per year.
  • Desensitizing toothpaste numbs the nerves in the teeth that can cause discomfort.
  • Mouth guard can protect against grinding teeth during sleep.
  • Fluoride treatment can be applied by dentists to sensitive areas to numb teeth and strengthen enamel.
  • Root canal can treat problems in a tooth’s core.
  • Surgical gum graft where a piece of gum tissue is removed from a section of the mouth to cover an exposed root.
Not everyone needs to have their wisdom teeth removed, but there are certain signs that can help you and your doctor determine if yours should be:
  • Wisdom teeth are pushing other teeth around, causing pain and misalignment
  • Cysts form around newly emerged wisdom teeth, causing jaw damage
  • Gums get inflamed and swollen, causing cavities and pain
  • Doctor determine from x-rays that wisdom teeth will cause problems in the near future
