Attached is a screen shot of my Facebook post about the surgery. In addition to the small amount of discussion shown, I wrote: "Nobody needs to worry about me, nobody ever felt better after surgery than I do now. I haven't needed any of the pain medication they prescribed, only my own daily muscle relaxer (cheap vodka). I can take deep breaths, and cough without pain. That minimally invasive stuff is really the way to go, knocked out on Friday, walking a short mile on Sunday, complaining about sweat.

Greater Boston Properties
I was originally self managing one of the properties I own and once I moved to Chicago I knew I would have to hire a property manager. Greater Boston came recommended to me by a friend and I am glad they did! I feel so at ease when I am not in town and know that my property is being handled correctly. There is a complete ease of communication and I know that I can rely on them whenever I need anything and to keep me updated.

Hodan Management Ltd
Anytime I have interaction with them, the staff is always prompt at responding and resolving the issue I have called in regards to, It's very refreshing to have a property management company to be so professional and courteous and get the matter at hand resolved. I have nothing but positive experience and cannot think of anything else up to this point.

Greater Boston Properties
Everyone that I have worked with at Greater Boston has been very accommodating and never pushy. When I was looking for the perfect apartment they understood my budget and what I was looking for and never talked me out of my price range. They are very responsive and helped me find the ideal apartment that I knew I wouldn't be able to find on my own!

Greater Boston Properties
After continuously attempting to manage my property on my own, I knew it would be more efficient to hire a property management company. Greater Boston came recommended by a friend and I am glad they did! I have had such a great experience with them and have no complaints. Very friendly, accommodating and understanding.

Khan, Humayon B, MD
Dr. H. B. Kahn is an excellent doctor. Thorough, competent, and well qualified, he has a pleasant "bedside manner". He always takes the time to really listen to what you have to say (not something you often find in these days of ten minute appointments)! He's a great man and I highly recommend him!

Greater Boston Properties
I have worked with several property management companies in the past and out of all of them, Greater Boston blows them out of the water. They are very responsive and always handle any problems in a timely manner. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a responsible property manager!

Wee Jon
I've had 2 surguries with Dr. Wee and next week I'm having a 3rd (to remove new lung metastases). Obviously I wouldn't keep going back if I didn't think he was doing a top notch job. He is extremely knowledgeable, kind, and professional. I know I'm literally in good hands with Dr. Wee.

The Copley Group
I have rested my head with The Copley Group for many years now. I have always been so impressed with the entire crew! Huge shout out to my guy Pete that "does it all" and Bill the amazing team. Also their latest and best addition ever Joanne, smart, kind and on it at all times.

Dr. Wee has been fantastic. My case was thoroughly complex. He brought together the resources of Dana Farber and Brigham and Women's to successfully complete difficult surgery with great skill and compassion. I feel fortunate to have him as my doctor.
Tips & Advices
This depends on the facility. Patients should call to find out if they'll need a referral from their physician prior to making an appointment.
Aside from hyperbaric oxygen treatment, most wound care centers offer:
  • Debridement: The removal of dead skin and tissue surrounding the wound. This can be done surgically, using a whirlpool bath, syringes, enzymes that dissolve the tissue, or wet dressings that dry on the wound and absorb the dead tissue.
  • Dressing: Wrapping the wound in a protective film, gauze, gel, or foam.
  • Compression stockings: Tight-fitted fabric sheaths that encourage blood flow.
  • Artificial skin: A covering that is applied to the wound for several days as it heals.
  • Ultrasound: The use of sound waves to promote healing.
  • Growth factor therapy: The use of materials naturally produced by the body to encourage quick cell growth.
  • Negative pressure therapy: Creating a vacuum around a wound to encourage faster blood flow to the area.
Depending on where the treatment is administered, hyperbaric oxygen treatment  can cost $100- $1,000. After insurance is applied, patients may have a copay of $10 -$50 or a coinsurance fee of 10 percent to 50 percent.
Most wounds should heal within two to six weeks. An individual should seek chronic wound treatment if a wound has not begun to heal after two weeks or is not completely healed after six.
Most health insurance plans cover wound care. Patients should check with the clinic and their health insurance provider before seeking treatment to be sure.
