Miguel's Auto
Has anyone gone to Miguel's Auto at 751 N. Bolingbrook Drive, #8 , Bolingbrook, IL 60440, and was taken advantage of? I went there for my rear and front brakes to be fixed, but when I took it to another mechanic because they were squeaking, I was told that my brakes and rotors had to be replaced. He said the brakes have never replaced.I also went to Miguel because my vehicle was leaking engine coolant. They replaced the water pump, but my car needed a lower intake manifold gasket. They kept my car for 7 days for no reason but to be mean. It does not take 7 days to change a water pump that was not needed. After I received another estimate and diagnostic from another place, I brought my car back to Miguel asking him to do right by me and fix everything that he did not fix that he said he fixed or I would have to take him to small claims court. His response was "take me to court". He also said, "other auto shops cost a lot more money than him". So basically I got what I paid for. I told him that is alright with me.I am asking if anyone else have been taken advantage of my Miguel's Auto? If you have please email me at kyhaines18@gmail.com, because I would love some statements to take to court by other's he has swindled.

Miguel's Auto
Our daughters car broke down on her way back to school. She got it off the highway in Bolingbroke, far from where we live. Miguel's was recommended to us so we had it towed there late that night. The next day Miguel's looked at the car, called us about the issue, and helped us make the best plan of action. In the end, Miguel's made no $ off of us and they bent over backwards to make sure we were taken care of. If I lived closer I would use them all the time. Can't recommend them highly enough! Thank you Miguel's Auto for all your help!

Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen
Beware of this restaurant! The carry out service is poor! Called and explained the problem, asked for a solution. Legitimate complaint regarding order being incorrect. I was transferred to the bar and spoke with Joe. Needless to say, no resolve. Joe took no accountability. High end places will bend over backward for you, but smaller places like the bar/restaurant no resolution, instead I'm blamed. Any restaurant that cares about its customers will try to make things right. Joe's response was "OK".

Sophia's House of Pancakes
Good food, friendly staff, and always full and hot coffee cup. Only less than 5 because waiting for our check was a wait, but I know people need to pee.

Miguel's Auto
Worst experience ever. Held my car for a week and did no service. No communication on the status of the disgnostics. Tried to doctor up an invoice to charge me for work never authorized or done. They also say they are too busy to follow up with customers. $37 for an oil change? How are these reviews saying fair prices. Even if they recommended an oil change I would never authorize to be charged that much!

Sophia's House of Pancakes
Me and my husband saw an ad and a coupon in the Clipper magazine and decided to go try it today. The food was good and fairly priced. I was turned off by a view of the kitchen where a waitress was standing at the door eating her breakfast but other than that it was a decent meal. When we went to pay we presented the coupon and were told that they could not accept it because they were not set up for it. My argument was that they sent out the coupon which brought us in to try the restaurant and there was no verbiage to state that we could not use it until a certain date when they were prepared. It was only 5 dollars but for them not to honor their coupon and have no apologies either was a real turn off and due to the poor customer service we will take our business else where.

Tailgaters Sports-Bar
My friend and myself went to watch the first bears game and there service really sucks. We got there we did get our drinks right away but when it came to the food wow no good. The waitress first told us that the kitchen was backed up in orders for wings and just to wait a few minutes. She never once suggested anything else to order, after that we sat for 30-40 mins she didn't come over to our table to inform us of what was going on. When she did finally come she said that the whole kitchen on ALL orders for food were backed up...WOW!. We just got up and left, an the bar wasn't that packed at all. Bad experience...bad...rude...service.

Tailgaters Sports-Bar
There was fruit flies in my drink. When I asked to talk to the owner, the bartender turned around and talked to a big guy. She turned back around and said that he wasn't here and asked to take down my info. When me and my friend left, he said he knows that was the owner. Still havnt received a call a week and a half later. Nice try Bob. What goes around comes around
Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
