Zach Evans Construction
As new owners of a Zach Evans home, we are very pleased. We love our new home and really like the design, many features, and functionality. Some of the best features of our home are the many outdoor living areas, which are great retreat places, and the spacing of bedrooms so quietness prevails in those rooms even when lots of activity is happening in the rest of the house. The whole process with Zach Evans Construction went very well overall. In the beginning Zach and Jace worked diligently to design a beautiful home that we liked and that would work well for us. Todd Downey was always prompt about revising change orders and having the correct pricing. Katy Hoxsey did an excellent job suggesting colors and features according to our desires. Adam Corleone, the supervisor, worked extremely hard to be sure things were done right and timely. He listened to our wishes, made great suggestions, and had wonderful ideas. Adam was always available and very responsive. His attitude was always very positive, professional, and customer orientated. Most appreciated was his willingness to change or modify anything in the construction process.

Renewal by Andersen of Boise
Renewal by Anderson is the best! This is our second installation from Renewal by Anderson, had some windows replaced a couple of years ago, this time some new French doors. In both cases, the salesperson was very knowledgeable and respectful. The crew that arrived to do the install were very clean, courteous and efficient. Nick, the head of the install team, did both installations, he remembered doing our previous installation, very nice being remembered and recognized as repeat customer, makes you want to use them again. The new doors are absolutely fabulous, no more draft, they seal out noise very well, have high hopes for cooler inside temperatures inside the house this summer. The windows purchased previously have made a huge difference in how much the second story of our home heats up in the summer, much cooler now.Overall, I strongly recommend Renewal by Anderson for all replacement windows and doors. Fabulous customer service, professional installation and superb products!

Critical Systems Inc
We have been working with Critical Systems for about 2 years now. The first order that we gave them was for a reconditioned HCl cabinet and a couple of Silane panels. The next order was for a couple more cabinets that were needed in a hurry. I recommended Critical Systems even though that facility had always bought new cabinets. It was the right call – the cabinets were delivered on time, and were brought on line without any issues. The latest order was for an emergency situation. We had an abatement tool crash on us, and we were down. They got an abatement tool to us in 3 days, which helped us get back in production quickly. Their reconditioned tools are top notch and a great value – I would recommend CSI to anyone.

Canyon Crest Homes
Look at other builders, because the quality of materials and workmanship seem questionable. If considering this builder, check all cabinet interiors, walls for nails sticking out, tile work, seams on the exterior walls, unpainted shelves in closets and pantries. I've been in a new Canyon Crest Home for only 7 months and have had too many issues to list from mismatched paint touch ups to bowing patio ceilings. Builder only provides a one year warranty, and I'm worried about what may happen after the first year. I love the floor plan, but have been very disappointed with the quality overall.

Renewal by Andersen of Boise
All four installers (Nick, Zack, John, and Mike) were ambitious and hard working. They were all great to be around and I enjoyed their company in my home during the install. Nick did the inside work and the rest did the outside work. The day of the install it started raining during the evening and I suggested they come back another day but they were driven and got all the work done. Started at 8am that day and finished at 8pm that evening. Excellent work and I highly recommend!

Fine Kitchens and Baths by Patricia Dunlop
Patricia remodeled my kitchen for me about 5 years ago. She is absolutely fantastic in that she has great vision for space and beauty. My some-what functional kitchen became very roomy with a spot for everything I needed for my family of 8! Would use her again in a heart beat!

Wonderful company to work with. On time arrival, no high pressure sales tactics. These windows are exactly as I had hoped they would be. You will not be disappointed with the quality and service.I look forward to doing business with them again in the future.

Zach Evans Construction
We engaged Dave Evans to build a building for us and not only did we enjoy working with his staff, we left the experience with enormous respect for Dave himself. He was compassionate, professional, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
Tips & Advices
If there is ever a dispute regarding payment over the course of the project, a contractor or subcontractor could place a payment claim, or lien, on your property. To avoid this, ask the contractor to sign a lien release, which is a legal agreement that states that any payment accepted is final. This can come in handy if a contractor has his or her own payment issues with their subcontractors. Signing a lien release form certifies that any payment made by a client to the contractor is enough to pay for any goods or services rendered.
Absolutely ask. Paying too much up front offers the homeowner minimal leverage if the quality of work does not meet expectations or contractual specifications. Try to establish a reasonable pay schedule, such as paying 10 percent of the total cost for each 10 percent of the work that is completed. Include this payment plan in the contract, as well.
Before any money changes hands, there should be a contract to sign. Make sure the specifics of the work and all costs are listed in the contract, including details. If you forget to have something included in the contract after signing it, there's rarely a chance of recourse.
Ask the contractor for proof of their certification before signing anything, as well as their proof of insurance. You should also check your homeowners insurance policy to see if they offer coverage for contracted work. You may want to call your insurance provider and ask for more details on what your plan will and won't cover.
Yes. Plans for how the work site will be cleaned at the end of each day as well as at the conclusion of work need to be put in writing. An experienced general contractor should make every effort to keep the workspace clean and prevent dirtying or damaging any other area. Even so, talk with the contractor about the daily schedule, the logistics of transporting workers and equipment, and how cleanup will be handled.
