A-1 Chem-Dry
I was blown away by the A-1 Chem-drys carpet cleaning. Very thorough and my carpet cleaned up much better than I thought it would initially. I was considering replacing my carpet; but after getting it cleaned, I think I'll find better use for my money. They were a little pricier than expected but my technician, Bruce, worked in a seasonal discount, that I wasn't even aware of and knocked the price down a little. You definitely get what you pay for when it comes to carpet cleaning. I'll be using them in the future and I would recommend them. Easily the best carpet cleaner in Boise. Thanks again!

All Electric
I had used All Electric last year for a repair so I called them again today to have someone come look at three outlets that had quit working after the heavy rain storm last week and the technician asked me to first find and push the red reset button...which I did and the problem was fixed and I saved $80!! Yay to All Electric!!!

Reliable Electric Inc.
Mike could not find the source of the issue but charged me a steep hourly rate for his unsuccessful troubleshooting. He wanted to come back so we set up another appointment. He did not show up, nor did he call me to let me know. I waited and waited and when I called him he said he did not want to hunt down the problem.

Gentry Finance
I was running late and I needed cash fast to get home on. I called and they stayed late to help me. I would have been stuck in Boise if they hadn't stayed. It was greatly appreciated.

Boise Restoration Pros
Carpet cleaning, water dry out, mold mitigation...he does it all. They had to come and redo the mess the last company made. Make sure you use someone certified and has good reviews.

Tips & Advices
Signs of hidden water damage include:
  • Standing or pooling water
  • Foul odor
  • Texture changes
  • Discoloration
  • Clearwater is clean water with no solids. It includes water generated by air conditioning units and water that goes down the drain while the faucet heats.
  • Greywater refers to all other form of waste water except for toilet water. It possibly contains hair, soap particles, cooking byproducts and flakes of skin. Areas that have been damaged by grey water are at a mild risk of contamination.
  • Blackwater is water that has come into contact with urine or fecal matter. Toilet water is considered blackwater. Blackwater can contain pathogens and is usually considered a biohazard.
Water damage restoration is a process where water-damaged areas are dried, sanitized, and rebuilt.
Home insurance sometimes covers water damage from storm-related accidents. However, most plans do not cover damage resulting from lack of maintenance or floods. For the latter, homeowners should purchase flood insurance.
Regular maintenance will reduce the risk of water damage.
  • Clean and maintain gutters so rainwater flows properly. Direct downspouts away from the house.
  • Repair any roof damage.
  • Use drain snakes to clean clogs. Chemical cleaners erode pipes.
  • Do not place outdoor plants with invasive roots near pipes, septic tanks, sprinkler systems, or drainage fields.
  • Make note of the water bill. A sudden, random spike in charges could indicate a leak.
