On 11/21/16 I inquired about a 2007 Ford Expedition. I went through all the basic question before purchase with the main 2 being 1) Has the spark plugs been done?(Which I know this particular engine has problems in that area) and 2) Will it pass inspection in NC? (SC doesn't have emissions). Both answers were "Yes, of course". I drove 2hrs to purchased this vehicle but could not take it home because it had a bad heater core causing the vehicle to leak anti-freeze profusely. Upon return on 11/23/16 everything seemed fine until I took it for inspection on 11/25/16 which I was told the computer was bad. I informed TESS Motors of this and was told to get a second opinion. So on 11/28/16 I then took it to Taylor Ford of Waynesville. They informed me that the vehicle would not pass inspection because of the spark plugs. Upon further investigation it was found that yes the spark plugs were changed but the particular spark plugs (Autolites) were not compatible with newer ford engines and was so low grade quality that it was damaging my coil packs (which are very expensive). I informed TESS Motors of this and all they said is that they need to speak with their mechanic and I never heard back. I dropped my vehicle off on 12/2/16 to have the spark plugs replaced to prevent further damage. This costed me 456.24. Only after I asked to be reimbursed, I was then told I could bring it back to be fixed free of charge. I would not recommend going here.
