There is no reason to go anywhere else in this town for auto service. Their fair, honest, professional, friendly and stand behind what they do for you. If you don't need something they won't try to sell it to you just to make a buck. My family and I are always treated like we belong there. Never have we had a problem with service. This is a place even my wife feels secure being at to have her car serviced. We will tell everyone we know about you. Thank you for great service to Bluefield and Princeton area folks who need folks like you here.

BEST here, why go any place else? You want it done and right, don't waste time or money going to any other garage. This business is best. I needed something for my car I couldn't really afford just any place. They are good at helping locate and fix it. I'm elderly and I won't go any place else they know how to give respect.

I've had a lot of automotive service done over the years locally and elsewhere. I've never been treated as fair as I was recently here at this shop. This automotive shop is going to do well in our area. I truly believe this small Company deserves a 5 star + rating. I was treated kindly, friendly, fairly price wise and with respect and not talked to like a dollar sign. They didn't try to force me to have anything done that wasn't truly needed on my car. They even saved and showed me my broken part before the new part was ordered. I already knew what my vehicle needed when I went in there so I was checking to see about honesty too. Their service surprised me. They worked with me, not over me and I truly believe their fair there. Will I recommend them to someone else? You BET I WILL and I will always go back no matter where they are. This is the kind of automotive customer service and FAIR pricing this area needs here. The big names have lost my business here and it's their fault for being dishonest to me. Other auto service shops could stand to learn a thing or two from these kind folks. It helps me to know they really do know what their doing and they really do have values they live by for customer service. Nice place for service. Good job well done!

Traveling through the area on vacation and my car broke down on the interstate. This place came highly recommended to me for service. We were able to enjoy the rest of our vacation and not feel as though the wallet was robbed. We were at their mercy and they did not take advantage of us. They got us back on the road quickly and safely. They truly know what their doing there! The staff truly appeared concerned for our safety and well-being. This was NOT an act, you can tell. Those living in this general area are lucky to have such a fine garage and people. It's nice to find a place were you truly are helped and needed without being taken advantage of. Keep up the EXCELLENT customer service K & M Performance, you have our vote to be the #1 service garage in the Princeton/ Bluefield area.
Tips & Advices
For gas-powered lawnmowers, the primary reasons for a failure to start are lack of gas, water in the fuel system, broken or faulty spark plug, and engine seizure. For electric mowers, check to make sure the mower is plugged in and that the cord itself is not damaged.
When a lawn mower issue arises, it generally results in the either the mower’s inability to start or its inability to cut properly. The most common causes of these issues include:
  • Clogged air filter
  • Flooded engine
  • Dead spark plug
  • Overfilling of oil
  • Dull cutting blade
  • A dirty undercarriage
  • Gasoline or oil that is too old and has gone stale
  • Overheated engine
Reel mowers are those without engines that use a series of vertically spinning blades to slice the grass, much like a pair of scissors would. These mowers are typically smaller and are pushed manually by an operator. But larger reel mowers can be towed behind tractors or multipurpose vehicles, which is how most golf course lawns are maintained. These mowers make shallow cuts and disperse the clippings broadly back over the lawn. This is known as grasscycling. a form of self-fertilizing, and is generally considered to be good for the grass’ health and longevity. Rotary mowers generally have a single blade that spins horizontally and is powered by a small gas or electric engine. These mowers can be adjusted to cut thick or shallow grass and disperse the clippings neatly to one side, greatly easing the process of clean up. Rotary mowers can be pushed manually, ridden by a driver, or towed behind tractors and multipurpose vehicles.
  • Clean blades and the undercarriage of clippings and dirt at least once per year to prevent rusting
  • Change oil, air filter, and spark plug once every one to two  years
  • If the mower is being stored for a long period of time, such as during the winter, drain the remaining gas and oil
Lawn mower spark plugs should be changed every one to two  years.
