The different rooms, multiple DJ's and sexy staff all add to the The Lounge's uniqueness. I loved the fun atmosphere and distinct vibes throughout the different rooms. Great place to people watch, dance and receive AWESOME VIP service!! (easy way to impress out of town guests - my brother was in awe!)

I went there about two weeks ago and had a horrible time! First of all, actually I don't even know where to start! When my girls and I got there, I was not given a wrist band and one of my girl got an X on her hand, WTF!!!Clearly we were over 21, its either the DumB bouncers that can't count or they were on crack(which they look like it). We ask them and they ignored us, so we just decided to go in pay. We got in the club to buy a beer and the bar tender refused to serve us. We asked the person at the cash register, obviously dumb blond dont know sh*t!, went out to try and talk to one of the big monkeys and he completly ignored us. Got fed up and tapped him on the shoulder and he yelled at us, out of no where a man ''supposedly a chick' pushed me and the big monkey who was 7ft tall started yelling at me and told me I had to get out!!WTF!! of course I yelled back....this place is so messed up, it was not busy, still don't understand why he acted like he was handling a large crowd fighting to come in . Don't ever go there, they will just run you out after you pay!! Let the club die down so those staff can go back on the streets selling crack where they belong!! (my apologies for being ""mean"" but I was never treated this bad before at a club)

\r \r Servers are HOT! We went for my boys bachelor party and the show was great. We got good discounts, rockin burgers, the comedian was hilarious, and the servers weren?t too bad to look at either ;)

I've been to Chatterbox almost every week for the past four months. After having been to Chatterbox, my friends and I can't go to any other bar. The atmosphere is so relaxed; great place to talk, drink, and play Boggle. They brew their own beer and make their own great tasting sodas (ask for a Pepsi and they give you their version of it.) My brother's favorite is an easy lager though a Belgian white is good as well. Fries come with an array of different sauces. The staff is great; making us feel like regulars after the second or third week of going. This place is just the best hang out spot; so much that we can't go anywhere else.

Frank is the best bar tender and not too bad on the eyes. Though not overly talkative, he made enough conversation to keep us entertained all night long. We were there Sunday afternoon for happy hour. 2 for 1 drinks from 10 AM to 6 PM. We had so much fun there on Sunday that we went back on Monday. The local boys that hang out there are lots of fun. The drinks were cheap and stiff and the people were fun. Next time I end up in Minneapolis I'll be hitting up Liquor Lyle's for sure!

This place has the best happy hour. I believe it's 3-6 and 9-10 everyday. It's two for ones on anything except pitchers. They don't cut you short on the booze either. The food is always good. The waitresses are friendly and Lisa is an awesome bartender.

I love sitting inside this place. It is so eclectic and artsy. I have been coming here for all my friends birthdays for years now. It's classy without being snotty. You can dress up to come here or be casual if you want to. There is usually live music, you can order food from the upstairs parlor and they have an awesome lighted patio with tables for smoking or chillin' outside. I also love to hang in dinkytown at a bar with no annoying, snotty college kids. The crowd here is a bit older than the ""freshly 21 year-old"" bar hoppers, so an older, more-mature patron can enjoy a fun atmosphere at a large venue.

I've been to Mayslack's probably 10 times in the last year and every experience was as you would want it to be. Friendly service, good food, cold beer and good live music with a cool dive bar atmosphere. I am guessing they got rid of the bad help talked about in the reviews below because I have not experienced that at all. I have never tried the roast beef, but I absolutely love the Big Bleu burger with tater tots and some of their dijon mayo sauce on the side for the tots ... I have to have one every time I go. It is one of my favorite bleu cheese burgers of any that I have had in the twin cities ... it is every bit as good as Granite City's Blue Burger! The staff has always been friendly - even the bouncer let me sit at the bar without paying cover for the band because I was just there to sit at the bar and have a couple of beers and grab a bite. Other nights when we've gone for the band the music was great and the cover was only $5 ... but get there early if you want a table because it is usually packed on Friday and Saturday nights. I will definitely be back.

I would like to hype all the other great things about this bar, such as the friendly local atmosphere and great drink prices. This is also one of the only places in Northeast where you can always get on a pool table. But the real run don't walk selling point is definitely the wings. Always crispy and drenched in your choice of ridiculously delicious sauces. ask for extra wet naps Sonnn!

Yes the place may be dark... but they are cleaning it up! I heard they just got a new lighting system and have always had great sound. Amazing sightlines no matter where you stand (not much seating room but who wants to sit during a show?). Mixture of music every night of the week. Fun latin, hip hop and dance nights weekly.... and the nice intimate feel of a small venue for big bands! Very helpful staff, and pretty good drink specials!

By far the best. They get the biggest names in the industry from London and Africa (Congolese drummers!). Obviously local talent is showcased as well.\r \r Drinks are cheap and strong. At the door, Davis is the coolest guy you'll ever see doing Sudoku religiously. at the bar, Davey is the coolest guy who will ever pour you drinks.\r \r The atmosphere is lively yet calm, dim but brilliant. Candlelight casts just enough luminosity on the unbelievable collection of jazz artwork adorning the walls.\r \r Tuesday night (AQuesday) is Hammond B3 Organ night and oh my god is it just delightful. Say what's up to my main guys Downtown Bill Brown, Bill Franzy, and Kenny Horst. Billy Holloman used to grace patrons with his divine presence before he opted for a more temperate climate.\r \r Best jazz club in the midwest outside Chicago. Hands down. Go. Now.

Some friends and I went to a few clubs last weekend and this one was by far the best. First of all the prices were great. For ladies it was $1 rail drinks, I don't know if you can find that anywhere else. The bartender even remembered what I was drinking all night. Thats what I call great service. Entry fee wasn't too bad either. Everyone inside seemed very laid back and fun. Not too many uptight people like at the other clubs. I guess my only complaint was that the dance floor was wet from spilled drinks and a little small. Needless to say, we will definetly be coming back.

Bouncer at 1st Ave told me to check out Escape, it was very intense and noticed a heavy amount of fine Asian girls. A lot of people on ""E."" Made it more interesting. Don't have to be young, but you must be trendy, and there is a mild dress code, jus dont look like a bum.

I first went to Acme when I saw it on NBC'S Last Comic Standing and I wasn't disappointed. The staff, comedy, atmospere was wonderful, and I felt a little cheeky and a bit smug about finding this jewel in my back door. I recommend this for anyone with a sense of humor, and an appetiete for great food and drinks!

I went to this club for my 18th birthday, we couldn't get into the lamplighter because they serve alcohol.. So we went to Deja Vu. Honestly I didn't know what to expect.. I hadn't seen strip clubs besides on T.V. - I was impressed.. sure they charged a lot.. but the dancers were very friendly and fun! I was nervous as hell and they just played along and made comments on how cute I was.. I know it's their job but they had fun with it.. Odd thinking you could feel some form of comfort from a stripper.. but I did! I honestly can say that the experience was worth it. Lap Dances are spendy but honestly.. I didn't feel pressured into getting one. I was asked and they left as soon as you said no. I did end up getting one and it was good, definitely worth the money. I suggest at least going once, decide for yourself if it's a place you'll enjoy when you have a little extra cash. - I must mention that ALL of the girls were beyond gorgeous as well. Definitely no uglies in the club. Keep in mind I went on a week night as well.. so that's saying something!

the service is good, but this place is empty on a saturday night?! Literally there were maybe 50 people there. The place is really small and needs to be updated. Looks like a party in a small rambler home basement. the bathrooms are nice though.

Sometimes it is hard to get a drink - real hard. More than one bartender has rudely demanded a tip. I feel a tip is in order for good service rendered and should never be demanded from a customer. I was a frequent patron of this bar, and it used used to draw a good crowd a majority of the time because it was a fun place to hang out. However, I have noticed a decline in patrons, an increase in bad service, innebriated and unruly patrons who are never bounced out and cause problems for other patrons, and an atmosphere that is less than fun. It's a real shame because it used to be a fun place to hang out on a weekend.
