I have been a patient here for over 3 years now. Dr. Ronald Moon is the best doctor that I've ever had, and I've seen many that barely understood my conditions and problems. I also enjoy his staff, as they've gotten to know me and really care about my life. He has a vast amount of knowledge for the human body from the inside of your organs to the pain you're experiencing, whatever the cause. He's also quite a character, orignally from Hawaii and a HUGE University of Alabama fan! I appreciate his wit, sense of humor and ease that he makes me feel so I'm not as nervous when I'm there! He hand writes all his notes in your file so that your privacy is kept and helps me with all the treatment options I need. Every month I see him and we go over what I've written down on my papers filled out, he gives me trigger point shots without steroids (this is an option), and refills what I take. I always leave knowing I've been helped. If you have chronic pain, I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Moon!!

Look elsewhere to have your baby. Recently had a close relative deliver here, was at the hospital most of the time during her stay and WAS NOT impressed with the attitudes of most of the nurses. Very cold, distant, uncaring and seemingly not at all concerned with the feelings of a new mother. There were some exceptions, but on the whole, it was a shot in the dark as to what mood the nurse who walked into the room was going to be in. Kind of made the whole experience sad.

I recieved excellent care, from the time I checked in, was called to sign paperwork, then called to walk back. They had wiped down all the area on the table, the house keeping person was so polite and through! nurses and assistants were so thoughtful and efficient. I hate getting an IV or giving blood, Richard did an excellent job! My doctors name was Dr. Bernreuter, great bedside manor and treatment! Thanks for changing my opinion about emergency rooms, Great Job!!

I have been a regular client of Charita’s for over 10 years and she is a superb massage therapist. She has fixed my sore neck/back and tight muscles more times than I can count and is knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. Charita ensures she understands what you want from your massage and tailors the session to target your specific needs. She is also very flexible in booking appointments to meet your schedule. She has my highest recommendation.

If you need any kind of therapy - ThIS IS THE PLACE TO GO. Kristen Z. knows how to assess and work the body in ways that have never been tried on me before AND THEY WORK!!!! He also uses a technique called Dry Needling that is beyond amazing and very advanced in therapy field. The added bonus of a GREAT gang that runs the office with exceptional bedside manners, leaves one with a smile even after therapy (which is work).

Tips & Advices
Academic medical centers provide the widest range of specialty care treatments, including the latest technological advances, clinical trials, and surgical techniques. In general, an academic medical center is a better choice than a community hospital for complicated treatments or rare diseases. Pediatric intensive care, especially, is usually performed at academic medical centers.
Academic medical centers offer a broad range of specialized services, from allergists to urologists. Some of the larger medical centers have entire hospitals or clinics focused on a particular medical service, such as cancer treatment, though specialties vary among the centers. Patients whose community hospital or local doctors do not have the facilities or expertise to address complex medical conditions can be referred by their primary care physician or local specialist to a major medical center (there are more than a dozen in the United States).
Yes. In addition to their inpatient hospital services, medical centers can offer a wide variety of outpatient services, such as pain clinics, rehabilitation centers, surgery, imaging and laboratory, mental health treatment, and outpatient cancer treatment. Medical groups – doctors in private practice but affiliated with the medical center--will also have offices within the medical center.
Physicians, nurses, physician’s assistants, residents, and attending physicians makeup the clinical staff of an academic medical center.
Medical center accreditation is not required, but most centers work voluntarily toward accreditation because it represents higher standards of healthcare quality and patient safety.
