Edgewood Service Center
As owner of Edgewood Service Center for the last 38 years, I would like to reply to the negative comments that has been posted on yp.com that I was not aware of until recently. To respond to rmroan, the flat tire we repaired by replacing the valve steam was on the right rear. We checked the balance in both front tires and they were both slightly out of round. We balanced both front tires. If Mr. Roan would have called us and let us know he was still having problems with the right rear tire that we replace the valve steam on, we would have been more than happy to fix it. Mr. Roan did come in to let us know what the other repair shop had found and at first accused us of putting fix-a-flat in his tire, when in fact his son had put fix-a-flat in after we repaired the valve steam. The charges were for replacing the valve steam and balancing the tire and putting it back on the car and securing the spare tire back in the trunk, and balancing the front 2 tires that were out of round. Our labor rate is $78.95 hour, so he was charged 1 hour of labor and a valve steam plus tax and shop fees.f

Edgewood Service Center
I had a new transmission put in several months ago. Everything is going great! I was laughing at some of the negative comments below (Can't please everyone ... especially in the automotive business) ... Sometimes people think they're getting ripped off, when they just do not understand the situation/circumstance. I love that C.P. came on yp.com to address the negative comments. He basically turned them into a positive once the story was straightened out. I'm a small business owner myself and I'm impressed with how C.P. runs his business. Great customer service and Great Work!I Highly recommend!

E E 280 Inc
I shop at this particular Race Way location for my gas but also many other other things. They have many amentities such as fresh coffe, yogurt, ice cream, greeting cards and etc. It is a one stop shop with out the hassle of a huge department store or grocery store. The prices are very reasonable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They always have a smile and a kind word for all their customers. The owner is usually on sight too. I have been a customer for years and will continue to be one.

Shell
The review posted by Adrienne T. Is completely untrue and is in fact a person who works for a bogus company out of California who tried to sell a fake ebt system and collect a $300 fee for a service that was never rendered and when we called this person out for the scum they are, this is what they resorted to and what I would call slander on a person and a business. Yp, you need to do a better job screening before you allowing these individuals to post untrue info that can negatively impact a business.

Edgewood Service Center
I took my car in for squeky brakes and an oil change. They ended up discovering that I had an animal nest in my engine and they ended up cleaning everything up and they even advised me on filing this claim on my car insurance and it ended up paying for all the repairs needed. I appreciate their honesty and thorough work. Their prices were very competitive and I would recommend them to anyone in the birmingham area to check with them before using anyone else.

Break Time
Fun, relaxed, welcoming & comfortable atmosphere. First time going and I had a great time...it wasn't very busy but the people who were there were extremely friendly. It definitely was nothing like the stories I have heard. And the bartenders weren't snobby and stuck up like a lot of these Southside bartenders. The ladies were very friendly and talkative. I will definitely be back.

Edgewood Service Center
My family has been taking our cars to Edgewood Service Center for over twenty years. They are always up front about what they find, their estimates, and how long the work will take. If I need something they can't provide, they have always been very helpful about steering me in the right direction. I trust them completely.

Tips & Advices
Driver can find the cheapest gas prices by using an app to search for the lowest prices in their area.  Some apps such as Gas Guru take note of your location, and provide a list of gas stations nearby, along with the cost of gas currently being sold at each station.
There are things you can do to slightly improve the fuel efficiency of your vehicle. Make sure your car's tires are properly inflated, and treat your engine to regular tune-ups. Check your engine's air filter, since a dirty air filter will compromise fuel economy.
Drivers must shut their engine off before pumping gas because it's illegal to fuel with the engine running, even though this law isn't always aggressively enforced. Pumping gas with the engine running can compromise your safety. When your car's engine is running, it's possible for its catalytic converters to generate heat that could ignite gasoline, and start a fire.
Even though many gas stations have warnings advising you not to use your cell phone while fueling, the chances of cell phones igniting a gasoline vapor fire are extremely remote. However, fires at the gas pump may be caused by static electricity discharge. For safe fueling, it's recommended that you turn off your car's engine and avoid smoking at the pump. Also, you should never re-enter your vehicle while refueling.
Many factors contribute to the lack of uniformity in gas prices. Retailers consider their tax responsibilities when setting gas prices. States place varying taxes on gasoline retailers, and a state with higher taxes will have higher gas prices than a state in which the taxes are lower. Also, if a gas station is located in an especially competitive area, a branded operator may receive wholesale discounts that allow the station to sell gas at a lower price. This is done by brands to keep their gas competitive in tight markets.
