YP - The Real Yellow PagesSM - helps you find the right local businesses to meet your specific needs. Search results are sorted by a combination of factors to give you a set of choices in response to your search criteria. These factors are similar to those you might use to determine which business to select from a local Yellow Pages directory, including proximity to where you are searching, expertise in the specific services or products you need, and comprehensive business information to help evaluate a business's suitability for you. “Preferred” listings, or those with featured website buttons, indicate YP advertisers who directly provide information about their businesses to help consumers make more informed buying decisions. YP advertisers receive higher placement in the default ordering of search results and may appear in sponsored listings on the top, side, or bottom of the search results page.

I went to Salon U earlier this week to have my hair ""trimmed"" by a someone that was highly referred to me by several people. Not only did I want to cry in the chair before I left, it was absolutely the worst haircut I have ever had. I now look like a 14 year old little boy with a bowl cut. Gee Thanks. I really don't mind paying $80 to get my hair if I look amazing and feel amazing when I walk out....but when I could have gotten a better cut at Walmart and I had to fork out $80, it just makes me sick!

First let me say I have visited this salon many times before and have seen Marlene Glaser each time. I don't know about the other stylists here, but Marlene has always done a nice job on my hair. But the last time I went was horrible. I think Marlene was in a weird mood or something, just having returned from vacation. I went in with hair at my waist and asked her to even it out. No more than three or four inches. And this lady takes more than EIGHT inches off of my hair. It is barely past my shoulders now! I don't know WHAT kind of funk she was in that made her completely disregard what I had asked her to do and decide to hack off all of my hair that I spent the last three years growing out, but it must have been a serious one. And it's not even a good haircut! It looks terrible and is basically the opposite of what I asked for. It's flat and choppy, it looks terrible and it was beautiful before. I don't know what kind of service provider gets away with doing the opposite of what their customers want for very long, but happy little Marlene seems to be getting away just fine with it. So if you want some business tips on how to screw your customers this might be a good place to visit. After this experience with Marlene I will not let her come anywhere near my hair with a ten foot pole out of fear that I might end up bald this time. Even though I have gotten a number of good haircuts from her, I would take them all back to just have the trim I wanted instead of this awful new style Marlene felt inspired to put on my head. Do not go to Marlene Glaser! Although you might get her on a good day and get a nice haircut, there's a very real chance you get her on a day when she's in a weird mood and decide to get hack-happy with her garden shear like fingers. Not worth the risk, just go somewhere else.

AromatherapyMassage TherapistsPain Management
Benefits of Massage It’s commonly known that massage eases tension and muscle pain, increase range of motion, and eases headache and migraine pain, but massage has also been proven to provide a wide range of benefits even if you don’t have muscle pain. Massage lowers blood pressure; increases circulation; reduces depression, stress and anxiety; boosts immunity; promotes tissue regeneration; and more. You can also combine massage and the essential oils used in aromatherapy to supplement treatment of medical issues. For instance, if you have a condition that keeps you awake, Lavender, with its sedative property, and massage, which eases stress and muscle tension, can help you sleep. If that condition also includes abdominal pain and headache, Peppermint can help. Hormonal issues? Massage eases back pain, Chamomile is great for cramps, and Geranium helps restore hormonal balance. Did I mention that massage is also a great way to just pamper yourself? Close your eyes and imagine a dim room, soothing music, relaxing aroma, and the smooth strokes of a sweetish massage rubbing all the tension away. It also makes a great gift
