The management at these apartments are horrible. They don't care about anything except collecting rent. They will also take you for every penny if your deposit. They are understaffed as far as maintainance goes. There are bugs and cockroaches. The pest control will come out and spray but you will be blamed in the end even if your apartment is clean. They are overpriced. You have to pay a pet fee of several hundred dollars that is just to simply have your pet living there as well as a monthly rent cost for your pet. They also do not allow posts or reviews on their Facebook page. There are plenty other complexes in the area to choose from that have more amenities available.
The apartments have roach issues that managers won't properly address, also it is nearly impossible to get any maintenance issue addressed and fixed correctly in a timely manner. In the unit we were in we had two separate water leaks and both times were told to deal with it until morning, one leak so severe that water poured from the ceiling and the other where the kitchen floor repeatedly flooded. As far as mold from the leaks they will say oh just bleach it it will go away eventually. They also have only 8 washers and 8 dryers for the entire property which is just not enough. You have to call repeatedly to get any type of question answered and if you bug them too much they will screen the calls and go days without answering. The staff will say whatever is necessary to keep you quiet and get you out of the office, however when it comes to honoring what they say they do not do it. If you do not get it in writing from them they will mess you over when it comes down to it and say they vaguely remember what you are talking about but sorry not their problem. We moved quickly into this property and after living there for a year have come to realize it was the wrong choice on so many levels. It may be affordable but not worth the headache once things start to break and you have to fight to get them fixed.
Worst apt complex ever. Management sucks, doesn't ever fix anything. A.c leaking he'll step through it and ask if you're gonna clean it up. So many drugs in and out of the complex. Not kid friendly. Roof falling in. And don't get started on bed bugs. Needs to be closed!!

This apartment complex is run like a prison. This is a great place to live if you have no where else to go. The management team is the most unfriendly, inhumane group of individuals you will have the pleasure of working with. The property management is concerned about the investors NOT the tenants. If you have pets or children this is also a horrible place for them to call home. There is absolutely nothing for them to do! They will be nagged by management until you have no choice but to leave Excessive Fees. Check your lease for any hidden fees that go beyond the standard security deposit. If a property management company wants to charge you non-refundable "move in" fees, I say run far away, it's not a good sign. Other shady fees include trying to charge for extra tenants (if you want your significant other to move in with you, you should not be charged extra for that). You should also not be charged any "move out" fees either, since your security deposit is intendedPlam to cover any costs caused by damage. This complex has A high rate of tenant turnover Obscure legal language in the lease, or language that is doesn't clearly identify how deposits are allocated or if/when they are returned, etc. While you can call the local police department as well as the Better Business Bureau to find out property-related information, you should always look to personal references as well. Talk to people who live or have lived there before, and ask probing questions with an open mind. Ask how long they've been there, any problems they've had, how long the response time is to issues, the cleanliness of the property, and other such questions designed to give you some insight into the potential experiences you may encounter. The cost of a good property manager and a bad property manager can be substantial.
Oceanaire apartments deserves 1 star because every aspect of this place is horrible. For starters the staff is out of this world rude! They're bothered by any questions and aren't even proficient at their jobs. They are constantly making mistakes with billing and ignore any service requests. The apartments are pretty cheap. Towel and toilet paper holder just fall out of the wall, dirty everywhere, shoddy repair work, filthy hallways and super thin walls. You can literally hear what your neighbors all night. I say all night because some pretty trashy people live here, who apparently don't work and are loud throughout the night. The pool is gross! It's always full of bugs and hair and usually occupied by men who love to stare or teens who can't keep their hands off each other. Overall a pretty uncomfortable experience. The security gates are always broken so don't feel too secure at this complex. If you do end up living in this hole don't live in an apartment where the stairs are attached to your wall, it sounds and feels like a stampede is coming anytime someone uses them. Finally,dont rent from Oceanaire because they treat military like garbage. Last minute deployment? Short notice PCS? Oh well. They only accept orders on the first of the month so if you get orders on lets say second of May you can't vacate in 30 days, you must pay for all of May and June. So ridiculous! Keesler housing said Oceanaire is the only apartment complex in the area that does such a thing. Please beware!
