K-9 Adventure Club
I rarely write reviews, but we had such a great experience at K-9 Adventure Club that they deserve some credit. We initially set up dog sitting in Bend for our stay at Sunriver, not knowing K-9 Adventure Club was an option. Our dog Emma actually escaped from the first dog sitter and after finding her we took her to K-9 Adventure Club. She was a rescue and is very skittish around anyone she doesn't know. Although nervous about another place to stay at first, when we came by to see her the next morning she was comfortable as could be. Even more surprising, when we brought her back from hiking she stood by the gate, with her tail wagging, waiting to be let back in for another night. Not only do they provide a secure, friendly atmosphere for your dog, the staff is incredibly accomodating and helpful, you can pick up/drop off your dog up anytime during business hours, they prorated the bill to reflect the time she was dropped and picked up vs. billing for entire days like most places do, and if that wasn't enough, they gave her a bath before she left. We will definitely take Emma back next time we're in the Bend area and I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs a clean, comfortable, friendly place for their dog to stay.

K-9 Adventure Club
I highly recommend K-9 Adventure Club. My two dogs go at least twice a week and can't wait to get in the door and play with their friends. We know they are happy, well cared for and loved on. I have had no hesitation in recommending K-9 to friends.

Griffin, Peggy
Peggy is knowledgeable and personable. My last visit was for a follow up for my dogs suspected canine infection. She didn't even charge me. She understands economic hardships and provides excellent care for very reasonable .

I love the staff at K9 Adventure Club. My dog is always happy to join in on the fun! I would recommend them to even my mother. Oh wait I already have!
Tips & Advices
Pets that do not get along with other animals may incur an additional fee. Some facilities have special solitary sleeping and play animals for these types of pets.
A checklist for what to bring to a pet kennel includes:
  • Vaccination records
  • A favorite toy or blanket
  • Food and feeding instructions (if the pet has dietary restrictions or is a picky eater)
  • Medication (if necessary, in its original bottle and with written instructions)
Some pet kennels have veterinarians as part of their daily staff, while others only have vets part time or on call.
Most kennels can provide basic care such as administering medications, but owners of pets with serious medical issues should choose a facility with a veterinarian on call.
Bordetella, commonly known as kennel cough, is highly contagious, and most dogs catch it at least once in their lifetimes. As such, all dogs should be vaccinated at least 7 days before boarding.
