I have heard nothing but horror stories as far as the training that goes on at this Petco. From choke chains on very young puppies to puppies being dragged around the store. I am a professional dog trainer and have had many clients tell me how they were treated at this store and how the training has made their dogs worse. I also know that the Curriculum that Pet Co uses is not what these trainers are doing. We will be contacting the corporate office to make a complaint. I end up seeing these dogs after their training for behavior modification issues usually with fear and aggression towards other dogs and people. Ok Petco you need to step and stop this and hire some qualified trainers
I went there with my 3 kids yesterday to get a collar for our dog. Not only did the gentleman take the time to explain all the different collars, but a trip to the pet store is like the zoo for my kids ( ages 3, 5, 7) he pulled out some of the animals that were hiding and explained a little about them. I will defiantly be going back there for my other pet need customer service is a huge plus in my book.
This place is disgusting the cages were filthy as well and a dead iguana in one that looked like his neck was broken. Don't adopt here if decide to adopt check out the local shelters. at least they care about their animals. This store is dirty and the animals are sick. DONT ADOPT THERE!
