H & M Plumbing
First of all the actions and attitudes of the worker when they made a mistake was absolutely horrendous in addition to disrespectful. While clearing a clog sewer line, they asked my wife to go back in the main bathroom to flush to toilet. When she did that water began gushing water from the toilet bowl and the shower drain because the clog wasn't cleared. They not only didn't assist in the clean up but argued that it wasn't their fault. Then they became disrespectful. When confronted on why they were smoking over an opened septic tank (methane gas), they denied it. The owner was called an all he could say was sorry. Again, no assistance in cleaning up, no ownership in the problem. They left while we used blankets and every towel in the house to prevent sewage from going into the hallway. The overflow already consumed the bathroom and bedroom. Thank goodness we don't have carpet because that would have needed to be replaced. At least they came out the same day we called...

cannot say enough good things about Mike and his staff at H&M Plumbing! Our water heater leaked inside of our home, and we needed a replacement stat. We were told by multiple companies that they could not replace our water heater for several days, but H&M, despite also having a very busy schedule, came the SAME day. Their prices were fair/much lower than what other companies quoted and the technicians were efficient/thorough. We are so grateful to H&M for their impeccable service and would recommend them to anyone needing plumbing services!

Today was first time to use H&M Plumbing and if I ever need a plumber I will definitely use them again. They were fast, pleasant, did a good job and charged a reasonable rate. H&M were recommended to me by a friend and they were also very pleased with their work.

We highly recommend and are totally satisfied with H&M Plumbing. Mike and TJ were prompt, courteous and fixed the leak in our shower quickly. This is the 2nd time we used H&M, They installed 2 toilets and 2 sinks in our home 6 years ago and did an excellent job. That is why we called on them again this time. They are very dependable. We disagree with the other reviewer about them being expensive has not dealt with other plumbers recently. Most of them charge a trip fee in addition to the overall cost. H&M did not. What we paid for their expert service was very reasonable.John and Christa Miller

I own my own contracting service, and needed to "sub out" a water heater job, and out of the 5 or 6 companies I called, these guys responded to the work site to give me the est. within 30 mins !!!! The others did'nt even answer the phone. They had the needed parts on the truck...and I almost did'nt care what the price was going to be...but when they told me,I said " DO IT !!!". I will ALWAYS use Mikey, and TJ. I had hot water within 30 mins from completion.I would refer these guys to everyone that asks me if I know a good plumber..VERY SATISFIED...LEE BECK..Brandon Contracting Services.com
Tips & Advices
  • Are you licensed and registered?
  • Are you insured and bonded?
  • How many years have you been in business?
  • What, if any, professional associations do you belong to?
  • May I have a list of references?
  • Do you offer a written warranty for your work?
  • Will I need a permit for this work?
It is important to have a written warranty for any work or repairs done to the plumbing in your house, especially if it is a major repair. Look for a professional  who is willing to  stand by his or her work.
Before you hire a plumber, contact their past customers if you're able to. These people can be a wealth of information if you ask them the right questions. Pose the following queries to these former patrons when you get the chance:
  • Were you pleased with the work done?
  • Was the project completed on time?
  • Did the plumber give you a written warranty and guarantee his or her work?
  • Were there any unexpected costs that arose?
  • Would you hire this plumber again? If not, why?
A permit provides added assurance that the work is done correctly. Having this in place means an inspector will check the work your contractor or plumber does to ensure he or she did the job correctly. If you plan on putting your house or commercial building on the market, a real estate agent and prospective buyers will want to check any large work you did to make sure it was done properly.
A trustworthy plumber will have both commercial liability insurance as well as be bonded. The insurance and the bond protects the plumber from paying for any damages made to your house out of pocket. Having professionals that carry both of these policies can protect all of you from any mishaps that could occur while they work on your building.
