Quest Diagnostics
Horrible lab. First time they caused an infection from not cleaning the blood draw site well enough. This time it took three tries to get blood and we had to ask them to clean the area better. Really??? Come on Peace Health, you can do better than this. Will never use this lab again. Will travel to Seattle if necessary!

Dr. Michael Kevin Gannon, MD
He accused me of Dr. Shopping what does that even mean? Dr. Thorpe was my dr. but I go to Dr. bruce for injections because dr. b used to be my Dr. till he refused to fix a meniscus tear. No tests nothing just told me he did not think it was torn but it was & Dr Thorpe fixed it. but Dr Thorpe does not do Ortho visc injections so I kept going to get them at dr b. last injection they told me not to call for injection call for replacement. I am busting my Butt trying to get well enough to go back to work. Everyday I walk with Bad arthritis at least 3 miles. because I am fighting to go back to work. I have lost 100lbs. I go to pt & I do everything the dr.s tell me because I want to go back to work by the time I am 50. This evil dr. refuses to help me but told me Dr. B would. Then he has the nerve to tell me Good job on not giving up. I have been crying ever since. what does he think I should give up on? My life? ever working? What Dr. Gannon? Screw You Dr. Gannon. You should give up!!!!

Levin, Dina J
I have never written a review before, but I am so highly impressed with Dt. Levin's care I felt compelled to share my experience. She has given a level of care I have never had before by a doctor during one of the most difficult times in my life. I have felt highly comfortable reaching out to her and have a high respect for her expertise. Thank you is not enough, but THANK YOU!

James G Hopper MD
I AM NOT A PATIENT OF DR HOPPER'S BUT I WISH I WAS. I DID GO TO THE PRACTICE WHERE IS IS AT FOR 6 YEARS AND MY DOCTOR WAS GOOD BUT SHE ONLY WORKS TWO DAYS A WEEK. IT IS DIFFICULT TO WORK ACCORDING TO HER SCHEDULE WHEN YOU MIGHT BE SICK. BECAUSE OF A KIDNEY INFECTION AND A RARE ILLNESS I HAVE THAT IS LIKE AN ALLERGIC REACTION WHICH STOPS MY BREATHING I WAS 15 MINUTES LATE FOR MY APPOINTMENT BECAUSE I WAS SO NAUSEATED I HAD TO STOP ON THE WAY TO THE OFFICE TO BE SICK ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE OFFICE TURNED ME AWAY WITH MY FACE SO SWOLLEN MY EYES WERE ALMOST SHUT. I NEEDED AN AMBULANCE BUT SOMEHOW MANAGED TO GET MYSELF TO THE ER WHERE I WAS INTABATED AND MY KIDNEY INFECTION DEALT WITH. I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM MY FAMILY DOCTORS OFFICE DIS BARRING ME FROM THEIR OFFICE. CRAZY! DR HOPPER CALLED ME AT HOME AND I MUST SAY WAS INCREDIBLY KIND, SYMPATHETIC AND HEARD WHAT I SAID AND AGREED THAT PERHAPS THEY NEED TO FIND ANOTHER SOLUTION TO HOW THEY HANDLE A PATIENT THAT IS LATE AND VERY SICK, 5 STARS TO THIS GENTLEMAN AND PROFESSIONAL FOR HEARING AND UNDERSTANDING MY POINT OF VIEW.

Walk In Health Clinic Inc
This is a good place to go when you need after hours treatment or can't get into your regular doctor. There doctors are great doctors that come from other offices throughout Bellingham. The staff is professional and caring. The doctors take there time with you and don't rush you though either. I suggest if you need to go plan for a wait since it is not a regular doctors office. However, you will find they can treat most problems and do it very professionally as well. I moved here from California and had to use it before I found a regular doctor. I used it twice and both times I was diagnosed correctly and given GREAT care.
Tips & Advices
This depends on the facility. Patients should call to find out if they'll need a referral from their physician prior to making an appointment.
Aside from hyperbaric oxygen treatment, most wound care centers offer:
  • Debridement: The removal of dead skin and tissue surrounding the wound. This can be done surgically, using a whirlpool bath, syringes, enzymes that dissolve the tissue, or wet dressings that dry on the wound and absorb the dead tissue.
  • Dressing: Wrapping the wound in a protective film, gauze, gel, or foam.
  • Compression stockings: Tight-fitted fabric sheaths that encourage blood flow.
  • Artificial skin: A covering that is applied to the wound for several days as it heals.
  • Ultrasound: The use of sound waves to promote healing.
  • Growth factor therapy: The use of materials naturally produced by the body to encourage quick cell growth.
  • Negative pressure therapy: Creating a vacuum around a wound to encourage faster blood flow to the area.
Depending on where the treatment is administered, hyperbaric oxygen treatment  can cost $100- $1,000. After insurance is applied, patients may have a copay of $10 -$50 or a coinsurance fee of 10 percent to 50 percent.
Most wounds should heal within two to six weeks. An individual should seek chronic wound treatment if a wound has not begun to heal after two weeks or is not completely healed after six.
Most health insurance plans cover wound care. Patients should check with the clinic and their health insurance provider before seeking treatment to be sure.
